Can you use this device to manually program a Frequency

I just got the UV10R. I didn't see it on the list. Could I use the UV5R settings??
@mrcharliewebb9 ай бұрын
Okay this is much easier than CHIRP....... I started with QRZ-1 and it was so super simple. I just received the TIDRADIO UV5R new version. Will this work okay for the Bluetooth option? And how do I enter offset? I don't see a column for that
@hamradiotube9 ай бұрын
It should. You'll have to try it. If I remember there is no offset setting, you just have to manually program the two different frequencies.

Question off topic Got a Bioenno battery 12v 12Ah and a battery charger Fuyuang .5A 50VA. Charger has alligator clips and the output of the battery is positive and negative and it does not have another cord for charging. Did I get the wrong device Because at some point in time I wanna use a solar panel and maybe another battery the size of the next one up. Looking for some positive input. And by the way And by the way Do I have to have a Voltage and amp meter in line so I know what's going on with my battery while it's been used thank you thank you wonderful sight
@hamradiotube2 жыл бұрын
If you have connections on your battery that are metal tabs you can connect the alligator clips to, then no. If your battery has power poles, then yes. So either get a charger that has power poles, or cut off the alligator clips and put power poles on it. You don't have to have an inline watt meter but I would strongly recommend one.
@paulhastings31092 жыл бұрын
@@hamradiotube ok all this portable operating is new to me. I did look at the charger and it has a plug and do away with alligator clips. With watt and voltage can I put in the meters and some how to include a charger and solar system. What would you look for. Farberfright have 100 watts or could I spend more for something better
@Nothing19800 Жыл бұрын
My main concern is having the frequencies all ready to go that I can just load up instead of having to type in. does it have any features like that? It would be great if there was a way to type in a ZIP Code or even your state to see what the frequencies were in that state. Download those directly through the app

They sent me that one too but it has the same issues. The app doesn’t allow easy bulk programming and they insist on having this IP radio functionality built in. I think using a cloud website to program is a big bag of YIKES.

What bugs me is the lack of CHIRP support. Pity it can't act as a TNC either. that'd make that a pretty good buy. As is, requiring it's own forspecial bespoke programming? Fail.

One of many rxamples: They never even made any reference to how to reach their web app. Oh, they made reference to it, but no directions HOW to get there or how to use their web page function. My tri-band radio is only credited as a dual-band radio, with no way to correct that!
