Tie Dye Black Flame Rainbow Tee with OUT White Brite (OWB) and then Ice Dye

This was an experiment from one of my meditations... I wanted to do a Group tee for my family last year and the Black Flame Rainbow is what I came up with. In total I did about 30 tees all at the same time, this video shows the process.
ALSO, I figured that you guys would not want to make 30 tees, so I did a video where I made just one Black Flame Rainbow tee and used a couple methods to dye them... I hope to get it edited soon and up loaded, but for now enjoy the Black Flame Rainbow!!

Something about see the dark somber color that I like,but lately To much Sadness in black for me personally, When the dark faded so quick I see the place to return that color! This day over in 4hours took that turn, Mood lighted and looking around the room thinking that dirty load of darts,How much of its getting a case of the smiles tonight!!!🕺

yeah I enjoyed seeing the whole process in real life... my vision was cool, but the real thing was better and yes seeing the places where I knew there would be rainbows was awesome.... and yes I feel like we are all going through what you describe at some level... lots of new energies hitting the Earth and we are all absorbing them.... we are in the midst of a paradigm shift... so yes SMILE!! life is Good!! 😉🙏✌🏻

Happy seeing your smiling face again! Next time, I hope you don’t rush through the final product at the end. I had to slow it down to .25 speed to enjoy the differences among the shirts. I love the results!

I wonder if instead of putting the shirts pleat side up and pouring the water on. If you made up the OWB in the tub. And added the shirts pleat down. You would have to add water into the tub to measure how many gallons of water needed to get it to the depth you want . So you can figure out how much OWB to add to the boiling water. A cup per gallon works fast. And should soak up into the pleats definitely as far as the water went up the shirt. And should go up a bit farther as the fabric pulls the solution up into the fibers. No need for plastic that way I was thinking. No trapping solution in the plastic to reverse areas you didn’t plan on reversing is what I was thinking. The viewer just wouldn’t see the magic happen as well. Love the idea of bundling and doing many at the same time!

Yes I do believe that would work great... BUT, I was going for the OUT running down into the creases to create the flame look .... doing it the other way would remove a band of color .... but that is what I love about this, change one thing and you get a whole different look ... I love to think up other ideas.... thank you for your ideas 😉🙏✌🏻 .... and I have a single tee version of this design coming out as soon as I get it edited 😉

yes, in powder form, you can mix and store it and it makes the application easier as just the dye powder can be clumpy with a few colors like lemon yellow .... BUT, if you mix soda ash in with liquid dyes, then they are active and should be used within a couple hours for best results

Is there any way to know you gotten all the OWB out? What lets you know, is it the amount of time or the way the fabric feels? You have lucky family members! Getting cool shirts from you every Christmas 🥰

I do a good rinse in the sink, then I spin out the excess... at this point, I can see the 'orangy' color at the outer edge of the tee, the part that was against the drum of the washer... so then I rinse again and then do anohter spin out... at this point, most of the 'orangy' color is gone, so I take that to mean the OWB is mostly gone

Yes. Because they were tied for the bleach phase.

Yes, I mixed the dye powder and soda ash together for the first session.... but then I did not get deep enough penetration .... so after the ice melted the first time, I added straight dye powder in each color and then more ice and then added soda ash over top... but it was night time so I did not try to video that part.... then I had to add one more round of ice to finish it off... but that was due to how deep the dyes had to go into the tee with them standing one end like I had them I do have a one tee version of this design coming out soon 😉✌🏻

yes I did these with the tees turned inside out... that is just my preferred method of tying and dyeing, but it is not required, just my personal choice. ✌🏻

for this one, I specifically wanted to get the flow of the OWB removing color and then color flowing in those lines ... I wanted a lot of black and some color for this one ... letting it soak would remove way more color than I want for this one
