Thanks for this! This is a nice understated version of a Diawl. Do you tie any Muskins at all? A video of one of those would be on my wish list in case you were interested!

Hi Steven, yes, the Muskins is on the cards in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled😃

How very unusual. You dress a pattern and then state where you 13:15 drew inspiration from. That is most unusual for Internet tutorials. Most from a sense of hubris claim things as their very own. There is a sea trout pattern called an American Express and I tell everybody that its my own design. This is obviously a complete lie because I stole it from you. PS dont tell anyone. I love this theme as I love skinny fly patterns. Your end section showing suggested variants is truly inspired. No on else on KZbin does this, which is why I pnly use your channel for new ideas which I obciously claim as my own.

Geoff, I look forward to all your comments. I never know where you'll come from next😁. As to the inspiration, I think I've mentioned elsewhere, we all stand on the shoulders of giants and we have them to thank for the inspiration they provide to support our wonderful sport and pastime. I think after you've seen thousands upon thousands of flies, you can always see where the inspiration for a new pattern has come from. The genius thing is taking the leap of faith to make it work. Take a look at this one for a similar analysis : kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqS0dqKDnZ6gqqc As to that American Express, the guy who tied it hardly ever fishes anymore because he's busy knocking out fly tying videos for KZbin🫣 You keep telling everyone it's your fly. I'll back you up!😂😂

@AlunReesFlyFishing I have already seen the clip and it is a fantastic looking pattern. I could not however leave a comment. My wife is out for the afternoon and when she comes home and asks what I've been doing I can get away with telling her that I've been on the Internet looking at boobies. She fully understands that I'm a smutty old man. If however I said I'd been on the Internet looking at your boobies then I think I might be getting a second divorce and I really love this one. On the wife theme she caught her very first sea trout on YOUR American Express. A hen fish of 3-1/2lbs from the Lune OBVS. She asked me where I got the pattern from as she fully appreciates my own complete lack of imagination and I just had to have stolen the concept from someone. Loving the channel by the way. Can't wait till you start showing dressings for migratories. Then the fun should really start ALLEZ ALLEZ
