@@wilmagregg3131 Tieflings, generally rejected by society and often unnamed by their own parents, will either take a name from a culture they respect, a great figure they emulate, or an "honor name" representing an ideal they wish to represent or strive to achieve. Because of that a Tiefling can have a name from any ethnic group or combination of groups, or simply choose a name like Strife, Destiny, or Honor.

The very first time I played D&D, only our DM had the players handbook and we all had to Skype call him as he would list every option in a row. When he got to Tieflings I kept hearing him say "Teethling" and the way he described them made them sound like some sort of super orc with toothy maws and covered in spikes. So naturally I picked that lmao. Though he did eventually show me a picture of them, and thankfully I was still on board.

@@monochromedream-eatingbaku that actually wouldnt be far off the truth lore wise, the githyanki take an incredible amount of time to learn anything or even grow since they live primarily on the astral plane where "Aging" takes a very very very absurd amount of time, thats why they go raiding on the prime material plane and live there for stints whilst raiding allowing their young to be born and grow at which point they would go to the timeless city to learn, but gith drop things after gaining a working knowledge, jack of all trades types and outside of gith culture they most likely don't know basically anything about things like that until they have lived for quite some time, so she will appear an adult and be hundreds of years old but have the social skills of a child/young adult.

Having played through the first part of the game I suspect that both Lae’Val and Shadowheart are going to have similar storylines. My guess is that they will both get betrayed by the organisations they are part of (the Githyanki and the Church of Shar respectively) and you will stick up for them. Because you defend them they will then begin to see you as a friend rather than an ally of convenience. This is particularly true of Shadowheart I reckon. I get the impression that she’s had some serious trauma in the past and as such has abandonment issues so she puts up a facade of coldness and aloofness so she doesn’t get hurt by people. If the MC stands up for her I suspect it will shock and possibly confuse her and lead to being more open and friendly to him/her.

@@misterbleedinggums sadly alignment is kinda shtty in 5th edition and has little to no impact in the game But depending on your choices and how they react to it you will see Shadowheart is pragmatic all the time wants her mission done and will do anything to achieve that thus making her neutral evil And laezel is a githyanki, fierce pirates hail from Astral plane They have a lich queen and they ride evil red dragons and her responses are lawful evil as all other githyanki If you ask for others alignment Gale is chaotic good Wyll is lawful good Astarion is chaotic evil (best one IMO) The skeleton companion in camp is true neutral Halsin is either chaotic good or neutral good Kagha is lawful evil
