Tien is one of the most skillfull fighter in OG Dragon Ball, he has so many unique techinques that are seen later in late DBZ and even DBS

1:46 In the Japanese version rather then saying it makes sense that he's hungry since it's been a hour, he says that his match with Pamput is what made him hungry, to which Krillin replies "How could *that* fight have made you hungry?" 2:02 Rather then saying The Turtle Hermit is lost, in the Japanese version Oolong instead says "He's probably using the bathroom again" to which Turtle Hermit thinks "Is the bathroom all you associate me with?" 2:35 In the Japanese version rather then asking if she sells ballcaps or tapes, he asks if she sells women's t-shirts, which is far more pervy, yet also makes more sense then selling tapes at a shirt store. 12:30 Also in the Japanese version Turtle Hermit ends his thoughts with the realization there's a new generation of fighters, he doesn't say anything about trying to stand in their way, on account of that would completely go against what he does in the next episode.

"Who's Krillin gonna fight?" Yes. We get Goku vs Krillin. Also, as you mentioned, the fight choreography in these fights is awesome. I would say it is better in dragon ball than dragon ball Z in a lot of ways.

Yes, It is kind of baffling how 'intense' the final fights become, as it doesn't do it that much for most other fights in DBZ.

Apparently Tien is the same age as Bulma. She was 16 at the start and Goku was 12. This is the second tournament and Goku is 15, so Bulma and Tien should be 19 now.

"Who is Kuririn fighting?" 😅 It's honestly a bit funny that after so many episodes you still haven't figured out how a tournament bracket works^^ Tenshinhan, Jacky Chun, Kuririn and Goku are the last remaining fighters. And on the left side of the bracket Tenshinhan and Jacky advanced to the semi finals. That would obviously mean thag on ghe right side of the bracket Goku and Kuririn fight in the second semi finale^^

@@chronikhiles Im just spelling the name the way it's supposed to be spelled. Not everyone uses the changed names from the dub. You will also never see me write Tien. I will always write Tenshinhan.

@@She-Devil94 if we wanna go with intent, ive heard his name is based on Kuri for chestnut and shaolin, like the monks. so Kurilin would probably be the closest to "right" in "english".

@@saphcal Since r and l are more or less interchangable in japanese, there is no right version. Kuririn himself for example sometimes wears clothes with Kulilin written on them. So I guess that would be the most official version of his name.

@@She-Devil94 in japanese you'd be correct, but in english no. english doesnt have them interchangeable so looking at the intended meaning behind the name gives us a glimpse in how its probably meant to be in english. Like the girl on Bardocks team in the Father of Goku special is named after Parsley so her name should be Selypa despite commoning being written Seripa, or the awful dubism of "Fasha" which doesnt mean anything.

Knowing how strong tien ends up being, I root for Jackie (roshi). Like he was such a beast back then. I guess technically still is but I very much dislike super and whatever the hell it is that they consider power scaling LOL.
