if i understand the prenium RN sub is differetn because it got slow guided torp and faster unguided that do nice dmg ( 11k), wonder how the launch angle is for those, i do enjoy the i56 sniper but it diving time and speed reduction make diving a bad escape idea

I recently started playing again. And subs arnt as bad as people say. Of course they are annoying but i find CV to be worse for the game. At least i can do dmg to a sub and avoid its torps. I can dmg planes, AA never works and of course i cant dmg the CV because hes in the corner of the map.

CV spotting also ruins a lot of your games just from matchup. Subs can't do nearly as much, they are more or less a glorified torpedo dd.

@@OverLordBou It's there for Supertesters, eh ? What does it give ? More duration ? Shorter cooldown ? It's nice to know now that I can run into an enemy Submarine who will Submarine Surveillance me for maybe 90s while mine only lasts 60s, without that knowledge I would have to assume it's a cheater. What a scummy way to give people Upgrades and not inform the players that the Upgrades exist....

For me its the gambling (as to why I dont play) I dont mind buying ships and gold and premium time, but 20,000 gold to unlock a ship that will be free, and you can only do that after you spend around a £100 in gold to get all the packages, to me its so greedy its kind of gross. In the old days I would just buy a ship when it comes out, but now you pay what could be up to 100 pounds in gambled gold, if you dont want to pay that then you need to wait four months for the ship you want to be sold normaly, they are basicly making money off peoples lack of control and people know it, even those who partake end up with buyers remorse. Hell, I know one guy who wouldent have done it at all if he knew he would effectively end up paying around £70 pounds for Alliance, meanwhile I'll have to wait until december because I wont pay though my nose for it. In the end if you buy you feel bad, if you dont you wish you could get the thing and you still feel bad. Its a loose-loose their basicly spreading bad feels to everyone, and yea, subs are a thing too (I admit it even though I play them) its no good that people are so unhappy, somthing should be done.

Homing torps is the thing that sucks with subs, and their speed. The other thing is if your ship has the submarine grenade asw over the planes, it sucks because it is useless most of time because you have to run after the sub and expose yourself to the remaining of the ennemi team. So unless you get rid of the ennemi team first that leaves you exposed to submarine attacks.. And if the ennemi player knows what he is doing then youre done.

Subs had nothing to do with the player count dropping. It started dropping after the cv rework and slightly before it

I disagree about being a good choice for new SS players, as they will be punished hard for small mistakes, due to how low the HP is on the British SS line.

Because it feels personal when a single player just ruins your day by launching 10 torps 3 km away when you are in the middle of your team, and no one could prevent that? Because trheir only purpose is to focus a single ship by spamming torps until it dies? Because subs have no movements or options to attack another target, so if you get caught in a sub range you're pretty much done? Because it feels cheap that a class has an insane XP booster? Because they make surface combat even less active by removing 1 or 2 players in each teamsfrom surface action? Because they punish pushes even more than surface ships, making the game even more passive (it's not like the game already is super passive huh)? Because hydro doesn't counter them as it should? Because they make destroyers and cruisers even less powerful in a game full of overmatching BBs and perma spots from CVs? Because they reload insanely powerful torps in 30 or 60 seconds? Because they put even more pressure on the DCP, which is already one of the most important and used ressource in the game? Idk man, WHY ARE THEY HATED??????????????

Ah in game chat never disappoints 🤣 That being said subs were part of the naval history so they make sense in a warship game, that being said the implementation and balance for subs is still very crude Furthermore a lot of changes seem to be in the works, maybe people will get the hedgehogs weaponry they always wanted, hopefully this class implementation won't end up like the Gref Zeppelin incident Wrapping this up, this subs seems to take on aspects of the German and US ships, with simultaneous reload of torpedo tubes with the nice distribution in front and rear torps, which could make this a powerful adversary in battles as long as the player is smart about how far they push

@@longthai9091 torp dds are usually easier since you can normally guess where they are and where they going with experience. (Unless you eat a fistful and die). But ship classes were setup in more rock paper scissors thanks to concealment mechanic. But subs can say fuck all and sail under you to the other side and you wouldn't even know it. They fucked up the game, more than CVs did.

I've been playing 7 years, only game I play and honestly WG is killing the game for me a little bit more with these ridiculous ships coming into the game (Subs, hybrids, supershits) it all basically started when they said subs will never be in the game and nothing will have bigger guns than the Yamato blah blah. I love this game, but it's a slow bleed.
