Well atk smoke is for survivability not damage so dominance isnt on theme, getting the def/res boost plus impact makes more sense. Dominance on the def and res smoke 4s would make more sense as you mentioned

Something interesting to note: These smoke 4 skills got the updated smoke conditions from fatal smoke. These skills activate after ANY combat, so the effects will be active during the second combat of both player phase and enemy phase. Additionally, these skills affect the target in addition to foes within 2 spaces, as opposed to having only the latter on smoke 3.

Ok so for everyone who doesn’t know about some of the lore inspirations, I’ll quickly summarize them here, spoilers for Fates,Blazing Sword,Heroes,3H, and RD obviously. I’ll start with Lilith, so she is the daughter of the Big Bad of Fates and was under his control prior to the game’s events as seen in the DLC, basically. Ninian is a reference to 2 different moments, as TACHO mentioned, when right after Durandal Nergal (who is her father) tricks him into killing her, then also at the end of the game, he brings her back to use her to call the fire dragons into Elibe. Gustav was killed by Hel’s curse and turned into one of her generals against his will, forcing Alfonse to strike him down, this was later referenced by Alfonse when bluffing to intimidate Letizia. Rhea as seen here is at the end of the Silver Snow route, after 5 years of imprisonment and likely torture at the hands of Edelgard, she’s weak and after using her strength to help defeat Those who Slither in the Dark, the divine power in her blood overtakes her and she loses control, flying into a berserk fury. Muarim is a reference to Part 1 of RD where, the vile Izuka, spiteful that Pelleas listens to Micaiah and is working with Laguz, tries to turn Muarim into a Feral One using the same drug he created and used in the Mad King’s War, this almost causes Muarim to lose all sense and attack his own son Tormod, but Rafiel saves him with his song at the last minute.

honestly i really love the fact that rhea is built like fallen edelgard with the DR being battle dependent, slaying weapon, wary fighter, after-battle healing and being a colourless armour. its super cool that the two are the same in their fallen incarnation.

Hope you get well soon! IS has been smoking something for this banner. Joke aside the smoke 4 skills are pretty cool, and with that speed smoke specifically we are looking at triple DR on most units to quadruple DR on some units. Another reactor I watch thought Ninian's ATK was so low so she would be less likely to fall victim to the 5 damage rule if she was on an AR Defense team. I'm actually pretty interested in her. That said Summoner Duels will be real good for her too with the pulse ties and even an Infantry Pulse to go with the HP stacking. Speaking of AR Defense this seems like the "The Medeus Defense Team Banner." You can put Reha and Ninian from this banner on a team with him and you have a dancer, a savior, and his personal Rebirth skill ready at 40%. Not to mention another Dragon armor you can use as a far savior, any Idunn most likely, to make it reach 60%.

The 5 damage rule wont be a big deal with Ninian anyway since she's infantry with low reach. If you tuck her away in the back, I doubt she'll be able to hit anything before your other units.

Attack Smoke 4 makes sense in it's effects. By dropping their attack you're making them but kill you, so buffing defences and preventing follow-ups makes sense.

I like this banner, if it weren't for the rerun of CYL this month (I'm missing only 2 Eirikas to have her at +10), I may have gone in for Ninian. Muarim's fallen version could be based on the chapter where he goes feral thanks to the old dude (can't remember the name), the one that was taking care of Pelleas, giving him the drug. I'm honestly interested in him as a grail project but it will highly depend on what he does.

True Dragon Wall would be fun to inherit, but I get the feeling it's exclusive to Rhea. Ninian would be fun to use for supports (and that Spd Smoke 4 is kinda spicy too). Atk Smoke 4 sounds odd, but it makes the unit tankier, so it checks out by me. And yay for Muarim making it in! We'll see how they treat him.

Not sure if I should give selkie spd smoke or atk smoke, spd gives her dodge and atk gives her impact on enemy phase, both sound nice but also atk smoke gives res buff which she needs as I'm giving up def/res menace for this new skill I think atk smoke doing what it does makes sense, it debuffs atk so you take less damage buffs your def/res to take less and stops follow ups (when they don't null that).

Loving this banner already, it's so so good. And weirdly enough, it's an amazing support banner for my Fallen Corrin. Lilith can provide her with NFU meaning I could switch to either Null-C Disrupt or Dragon Wall. Then Ninian comes in with her Ruse Dance to dish out Guard and Debuffs but also allows Corrin to run far enough away from the rest of the team for all her buffs to active and then I even have the option to let Lilith follow her from a save distance to make sure NFU activates next turn. It sounds too good to be true almost (which it's gonna be for AR, I can only see this setup working this well in niche situations) but man. Looking forward to it and happy to have saved a good amount of orbs to go all in.

Im getting all of them tbh, I was thinking, fallen fafnir most likely will come next year as the 3rd really powerful colourless unit, lil disappointed we didnt get risen king chrom but I have high hopes for next year, since its long awaited by many, I know theyre gona wait it out imo, also since you mentioned gustav may had his weapon updated to be more in line with the meta, that give me hope for emblian veronica and bruno to be in the game, since people thought that their weapon was so outdated that they wont be worth spending resources on, but after this, I think there is a much stronger chance for them to come with revamped weapons

power creep is real. who needs tier 5 skills with tier 4th like these. we started with what drive attack becoming self buffing and now we get base effect + the same thing again but now as buff, but wait there's more it also give insanely strong b skills as buffs because why not. just imagine how busted other old skills no one is using will become if speed smoke 4 is now the probably best c skill in the game. i can't even imagine how strong ta could become out of something that only some dancers would want to use. ps.: the frozen heart has call to flame as signature dance how ironic.

Yeah, Smoke 4s seem really gross. Just about the only weakness to them is that they don't do anything until after you perform one round of combat, but after you do they feel way stronger than all the other passive Cs. The nasty part is that Smokes weren't movement locked, so now all of a sudden we have a way to get Dodge and stuff on non infantry types

@@CojaGamez idk if she's better than A!Idunn and B!Hector, but she's pretty good. The tier 4 smokes are pretty god tier fodder though, particularly Spd Smoke which has no inheritance restrictions and can be used to get Dodge on Cav/Fliers

@@tacho9427 I think she might be slightly better, that damage reduction is absolutely insane on top of likely similar defences to the other two. I guess the only downside is she still has dragon/amour weakness but 60% DR + Built in healing can really help mitigate that. The 40% res damage can also help her bust through tankier units as well

No Fallen Gawain, Leo or Morva but, a mind controlled Ninian and Enraged Rhea seem cool enough. I actually don't even like using dragon units. The only one I'd consider using besides Morva, would be Yahn from Sword of Seals. The Last Dragon soundtrack that plays when he's fought still slaps to this day.

I think the reason why we didn't get F!Chrom is because he already had an alt earlier this year (and as a Duo no less) and he's scheduled to have another one later in the year (that being his upcoming Brave alt) so adding another Chrom alt would be a little too much (there's always next year am I right). Also this Rhea is from the SS route not CF, you can tell based off the emotion behind her words, her clothes, her dragon sprite matching the her SS variant and the fact that *Funeral* *of* *Flowers* is playing in the background. I think that F!Rhea is the better tank in theory but F!Edelgard is the more dangerous one due to her easy to meet conditional DC but we'll have to wait and see how the meta plays out once these Fallen units are released. This banner will be one of my favourites. When I saw Fallen Gustav and especially Fallen Rhea I said. "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh. I AM BULLETPROOF!" like Heavy from TF2. I was so excited when I saw her. Amusing, +10 Canas will beat her RES check and 1 shot her (along with a bunch of other Armor/Dragon Effecitve mages....though they will need to have their specials up, Canas doesn't have that issue, at least Hapi joins him with being able to easily beat her RES and ready-special). This is taking into account +5 Rhea with DragonFlowers and RES superboon and 44 base RES to be generous (since Medeus has 43). I see people going "Well what if I put Hardy Fighter on my Rhea?!?!?" Well....then I see your Hardy Fighter and raise you my False Start Ellemine. See, people bringing up Whale Issues will be met with Whale Solutions XD. So, I was speculating that Eliwood would be guided by his anger and Nergal would take advantage of this. People going to be summoning for Fallen Lilith purely for that Smoke skill. Also Rhea going to be fun to face as +10's, probably going to have 40+ Res with a superboon in it so that B skill will make her as hard to kill as possible. Also funny because my friend Will was talking about Fallen Gustav earlier last week and now we're getting him as a unit, I hope we get a good Forging Bonds conversations between him, Alfonse, and especially Leif.

I'm pulling for Lilith because she has great support potential and then secondly for the skill. Thankfully I don't have to worry about Rhea since my +10 Hapi has 73 res so I can bypass the damage reduction with an effective weapon.

Lilith seems like the best pull, both for usage and fodder. Her skill list is cracked, Catch 4 + Dive Bomb + Smoke 4... no wonder they showed her off first

I'm so sad no risen King chrom, so I cannot make my evil fanfic yet... BUT new toys for my Owain and L!Ephiram. P.S; True Dragon Wall is a pref B skill, and reflects on the main game in silver snow, twice as annoying if you ask me. Also its SILVER SNOW not Crimson flower, Crimson flower boss is very different from Silver Snow. Also, Sublime Heaven can pierced through Dragon Wall. Also, hopefully you get well soon Nacho.
