Unhauls have been running my life lately and the feeling of out with the old has been refreshing and all my subscriptions are unhauling this week. I LOVE IT!!!

I've dropped down to one sub I really love and it's refreshing to not manage three and free up money for books I want outside of them and not feeling guilty about unhauling special editions since they're premium cost.

I actually loved how Priory of the Orange Tree ended. To me the point of the book was watching all these different people come together past their differences. I didn't want or need some epic boss fight. But I also get that if you are not really invested in the different characters and the world, not having a big impactfull finale will sour the book for you.

With Gone, are you talking about Lana’s dog Patrick? Because (spoilers below) Lana discovers she has developed the power to heal hers and Patrick’s injuries, and saves him from dying. In fact, Lana and Patrick survive the whole series.

Always love a satisfying unhaul! Also love that you were ruthless with your special editions. I have a hard time saying goodbyes to them myself, but it’s always nice knowing they’ll go to homes where they are loved more 🐉

I hated that book, it skipped every interesting plot opportunity. And I still laugh at how everyone was so hyped about it being a standalone and now there is a prequel. Let standalone be standalones!

I also grabbed the brutal mate at rare22 for free... can't believe we were in the same vicinity😂 Reverse harem books are usually insta smutty... which i don't mind. You have 4 on your shelve it or scrap it that I've noticed 😅 Hope you feel great once the books are out of the house. Your curated to you library is coming along great 👍 wish I could part with books that I didn't love. Maybe next year is my unhaul year 😊

I’m glad I’m not the only person that hated Priory of the Orange tree. I’m definitely in minority here but I recently unhauled my two sets of Roots of chaos. Yes I bought two editions from BB and IL being sure I would love it and just got both of them out of my house! They are stunning but they were taking up prime real estate on my shelves and I decided to sell them. It felt good

I’ll just be moving on from her as an author, as it also bugs me that she wrote two completely different books, and revised her old books but couldn’t put out the next book in her ongoing series from 10 years ago

I do agree with Divine Rivals that there wasn’t enough fantasy and historical elements to consider it so. It was mostly romance. I plan on attempting Ruthless Vows to see if any of that improves.

I felt the same way with Divine Rivals. I liked the romance but the Fantasy part of it just felt off for me and was part of the reason I struggled to get into the book. Once I got to the halfway point then I started to enjoy the book. I feel like the only reason there was Fantasy tied in was so the magical typewriters would make sense. Otherwise the somewhat magical buildings, etc just didn't really make sense or have much meaning in the story.

The Intimacy Experiment is SO BAD but The Roommate was fantastic. I preordered The Intimacy Experiment because of how much I enjoyed the first and nearly cried in frustration with how bad it ended up being I have a 3 strike system for authors, 3 less than stellar books and I won't try anything else from them, and I actually gave Rosie Danan 2 strikes just for that one book (I think The Roommate has too much smut for your tastes anyway, but it is vastly better)
