i still cry when i read the books and watch the movies :'( Plus, rewatching/rereading made me appreciate Mockingjay more. Especially the movies. MJ part 1 and 2 weren't my favorites when it came out but now that I've grown some years, I can grasp the themes of MJ better. MJ portrayed war themes very well--the consequences, the mind games, the moral conflicts, the opinions of each character--it's interesting. I've learned to appreciate living in a relatively peaceful time, war-wise. And I've come to understand why Gale wasn't good for Katniss at all (I had doubts before, I don't have now. Bye, Gale.) (Please, no more wars.)

She says Thresh doesn't protect Rue, which is true, however, unlike Peeta and Katniss they weren't connected in any way. Thresh didn't have paternal feelings for Rue, because she was a stranger to him. His mindset was that only 1 of them could live, and while he felt bad for her, he still wanted to win. We have to keep in mind that Rue died before the rule change, and my guess is that Thresh would have found her and protected her had she been alive after the rule change. Some people might wonder why he let Katniss go if he didn't care about Rue, and that was because she was from his district, not because he loved her or had any paternal feelings for her. I don't think this makes him a bad character, I think it just shows that he was still hoping he might win, therefore he only had time to feel bad and mourn her after she was dead.

If you think about it all the characters who went into the Games (like Marvel, Glimmer, Cato, and Clove) wanted to go home and love so they had to do any and everything they could to survive and with the careers in both The Hunger Games and Catching Fire ( Cato, Clove, Glimmer, Marvel, Cashmere, Gloss, Enobaria, and Brutus) grew up training for the Games and were forced to go to the training centers and volunteer when they turned 18. I am not trying to hate on you or anything but I am just saying that everyone who went into the arena just wanted to win and survive!!!

I just wish cashmere and gloss were in the ok tier. They were allied with Enobaria and brutus but they were different than them. They seemed genuinely angry at being put back in while Enobaria and brutus chose to go back in. Both cashmere and gloss in their interviews were trying to stop the games just like all of the other victors which is why I would put them on ok just because I feel they were careers to survive, not to flat out murderer people for the joy of it like Enobaria and brutus

I think foxface killed herself for a number of reasons: One, she was so good at the edible plants station in training. Two, she was ALL FOR the rebellion. Three, she didn’t want to murder anyone. Four, she wanted to have a peaceful death and not get murdered.

I think she committed suicide with the berries, I know in the books it hints that she was tricked but I just don’t think it adds up with the character. I do believe with her knowledge of berries and edible plants she would have known that the berry was night-lock, and with the energy and the knowledge she had I don’t believe she made.a mistake like that even if she wasn’t thinking straight. In my opinion she was aware that going up against Katniss, Peeta or Cato, would be a long deadly fight, and she wasn’t willing to be killed like that or kill anyone else first hand.

In the book she was in 4th place and probally could’ve outsmarted Cato and his temper and eventually outsmart maybe even Katniss and Peeta. For one, she was emaciated and starving while Katniss, Peeta and Cato seemed to do fine food-wise. Cato is also huge and a physical threat and Foxface had no weapons. And Peeta and Katniss were a tight, unbreakable duo. Plus, it must have been preeeeeetty obvious to her that Katniss, Peeta and Cato were being favored.

Just Katniss did say she didn’t recognize them from training (I think tell me if I’m wrong) and that it was from her father so it very well mightve been peetas ignorance. As well as the fact that she’s been stealing bits of food as her food supply and took more of Katniss and peetas food made me believe it wasn’t a suicide. Also if I was in her position, I know I wouldn’t kill myself if I was that close to victory especially since she didn’t have any grudges held from the other tributes like Cato did to katniss. Soooo if Cato did find her and killed her it would be fast unlike if he found katniss and Peeta

One of my least favorite Katniss moments is when she dismisses Cashmere’s anger and sadness about being in the Games again. Those were completely justified emotions, because either she or her brother would die even if the other won. indeed Cashmere and Gloss were really mad (first, she was sold and protituted by Snow after she had won the 64th hunger games just like Finnick + during the interviews with Caesar she said that she cried all the time thinking about how Capitol citizens were suffering because they were going to lose 23 previous victors but actually that was just a colective attempt -with at least beete, johanna and peeta, I don't remember if any other tribute said something about it- to try to stop the 3rd quarter quell). however they weren't a part of the rebellion, they teamed up with Brutus and Enobaria, Gloss killed Wiress and Cashmere tried to kill Katniss but was killed by Johanna (who was aware of the plan and defended her). I guess there's a chance they would have agreed and stuck to the plan to protect Katniss and Peeta and destroy the arena but the rebels just couldn't risk it, they couldn't fully trust them because they were from District 1 and Capitol favorites.

I think Cashmere and Glimmer should be in god-tier because they were incredibly complex villains who had been weaponized by their districts and made to think killing is okay, that's what endeared me to them. They should 100% be there especially over Katniss and Peeta who were very predictable and who were given all the screentime. I also think Foxface should be in god-tier because she was an iconic underdog who made it extremely far despite not having any help from any tributes or sponsors which is incredible because if Peeta and Cato didn't have sponsors they would've died, and I think Foxface would've been able to outsmart Katniss so therefore she would've won. The nameless female tributes from 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 10 were all robbed from being here too!

I agree that Finnick, Annie, and Mags all deserved better. I think the Capital characters are fascinating - Effie, Caesar, and Cinna. Love Cinna the most; without him Katniss would never have become the Girl or Fire or the Mockingjay, the symbol of the revolution. I would love to have more backstory on some of the characters - Enobaria (what did she do after the hunger games?), Foxface (such an intriguing character!), and know what happened to Snow's granddaughter?!
