@2fast2block Жыл бұрын
When I shoot matches we had an FBI agent. His times were not considered fast and did just 'ok' in final scores but I did like his style and it got me to thinking of the real use of matches even though I'd beat him. Hit hits were precise and because we all knew we had to push the speed and still get decent hits, they were not as accurate. So I don't know, are hits not as precise but fast better than precise hits done slower in real life? Even a shoulder hit is not exactly doing nothing in real life. Maybe that was enough to change the whole situation compared to a slower hit more precisely. All I do know is I changed that I never wanted a miss. I wished the rules were that if you ever missed, you zeroed out the stage.

When flying Delta, you wear sweatpants or you stick out.. You really need to shoot into a backstop (not the mtn) almost every shot is ricocheting off the ground.
@alanmore45563 жыл бұрын
@eedd sdsd I agree that the "large hill" would catch the ricochets, but geebeaux is correct in that there were many. you can hear them clearly as they spiral up out of the dirt.

This needs to be done with a sub-compact pistol. I reommend the BUL Armoy SAS Viper with muzzle break. Those are supposed to be Oakley Sunglas. Add more black velcro to everything, but that hair-gel is perfect! Keep up the Great Work! For real, good audience to recruit from also. Alot of aviation lovers on KZbin.

I don’t know if you guys missed it, but there’s a standard where you shoot 2 shots with your strong hand, reload from slide, switch over to your weak hand, fire 6 shots one handed under 10 seconds. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Why handicap yourself if you can run a dot
@drossi1013 жыл бұрын
@@andrewgreiner4681 people act like the dots all of a sudden make you good to. They just enhance your skills, if you suck without a dot you’ll suck with one. I’m sure these guys would have no issues doing this test with irons, or “plain open sights” as this gentleman refers to them as.

Well, you guys aren't bad but I also know an Air Marshal and most don't use tricked out pistols and a lot use iron sights. And, I know it doesn't say it on the FAM course sheet, but at Stage 4, they load one round so the slide locks, the load the second mag and send the slide forward. Really difficult to make that time.
@michaelorr80583 жыл бұрын
Air marshal's don't qualify with or carry optics on their service weapons and don't use competition firearms or ported barrels. Although you guys are doing great I'd like to see you guys run iron sights straight out of the box like the Air Marshal's do. Not because I want to see you guys fail, actually i think you'd do well but you aren't playing by the same standards.

yup either a p229 in .357 sig with factory night sights or a g19 gen 5 with factory night sights.
@taintsplitter50753 жыл бұрын
I know. I only got to shoot it 3 or 4 times in training. I really wish they would have kept it. It caused alot of controversy between FAMS when they got rid of it. The FAMS that were required to shoot it gave the newer FAMS a bunch of crap because they didn't have to qual with it.

This doesn’t look any harder than the AZ armed guard qualifier. The AZ armed guard qualifier has a lot more reloads and a lot more drawing from the holster. AZDPS is the one that comes up with the AZ armed guard qualifier
@NorthernBuffalo3 жыл бұрын
Hahahahah okay. Arizona Armed Guard training is 16hrs total. The firearms qual is shooting on a NRA-TQ15 target which is a human sized target. From the draw at the 7 yard line you have 8 seconds to fire 3 rounds. Compare that to these guys who have 1.5 seconds from the draw to shoot 2. It’s not even comparable. Tell me you applied to be a cop and got denied without telling me.
@Evergreen14003 жыл бұрын
@@NorthernBuffalo. Don’t know what AZ armed guard range qualifier you took but that’s not what I did nor have I wanted to or failed at becoming a law enforcement officer. Got nothing against them but never had the desire to be on the street making arrests.

@@NorthernBuffalo. Not only did you not describe the range qualifications for the az armed guard course you didn’t factor in any additional qualifications specific companies will require. The company I work for made us do a lot more than what’s required from AZdps.

Dude I think they were just running the tests with w.e they carry, or w.e they think an air marshall should carry (all a guess by the way, I didn't talk to these guys), so yeah I don't think they wanted to replicate an exact air marshall qualification, otherwise why not just ask to go and actually try it lol, don't assume, and they mentioned in the beginning that they basically set up what they think is best..
