Actually in the lore, arquitechs are different from architects in that arquitechs use hard light technology created by Vishkar corporation to construct entire cities out of light constructs (according to an in game interaction between Symm and Junkerqueen, hard light could be used to produce a 1KM tall axe, but it would be too heavy to wield of course), so she is basically an architect + city planner + super high tech construction worker all at once, he pay would def be way higher

With the mercy and bap thing, combat medics and field medics are very different. Field hospitals aren't on the front line, the combat medics are. To grossly over simplify combat medics are there in the fight and make sure you make sure you make it to the field hospital. Think EMT vs a doctor in the ICU

Random insert for mercy! In the US, ambulance first responders are very underpaid. Im in CA, so it's fairly high, but still not good income. For the Medics who do ACLS (advanced life support), it's usually around $20 starting. The minimum wage starts at $15. Different places charge more or less, but it's fairly bad. The medical field only sucks for 911.

If you want to get technical, we know sombra was orphaned during the omnic crisis, that we know (I think, unsure) happened after the 2010s. Therefore if the omnic crisis was in 2010, and sombra was 17(the highest thats legally a child), she'd be 8 years old during 9/10.
