Back in the day my Uncle and his friends use to go late at night to the Black River area where there use to be lots of sugar cane to catch crabs. Sometimes you could catch crabs on the streets in a certain area. They would be up all sorts of hours cooking crab. Such beautiful memories of my Uncle.

18:06 Just so you know Tiffany, the bottom of the pineapple is always sweeter than the top. When you slice it horizontally the slices are sweeter in succession as you go from top to bottom. What we would do when there's lots of people to share with, just so it's fair, is slice it lengthwise, so you have long pegs instead of round slices. This way everyone gets some of the sweetest part. And if you're paying attention, you'd eat it from the top down so you're left with the sweetest part for last. Just today's little bit of old time trivia.

Remember my Dad when he was a firefighter in Jamaica and he and his fire men friends would go crabbing overnight and we'd have Giant brown potato sacks filled with Crab's and they'd cook them in huge drums in the back yard but always washed them off in the sink back there first. Yummy Never forgot those days ❤️🇯🇲

Me and my parents and a bunch of neighbors use to go crab hunting in the middle of the night in Old Harbour Bay with bottle torches, that was when I was in Primary school back in the 1980's, our crocus bags would be full of crabs, then we would make the best biggest pot of curry crab. I am so glad to see people still catching crab at night, so much fun!!!

Loving the vibes. I’m from the Bahamas and when we catch land crab we purge them for about a week or so and feed them nothing but fruit and vegetables. It makes the meat really sweet and flavorful. You should try it and let us know if you notice any difference

I live in Northern California and we would never go out at night into a wooded area. It is too dangerous and I would be totally scared. I grew up in a time and place when we would do that but, no way would I do that now. You guys are really blessed to still be able to feel safe doing what you're doing at night. Hi Tiffany!! Very nice. Those plantains looked absolutely delicious wow. But I felt so bad for those poor little crabs bless their little hearts. For me I'm allergic to shellfish but my father and sister? Goodness they'd go nuts! And why does shellfish turn red? They always turn red!
