【Cooking for my family】6-course meal, 30th wedding anniversary, easy asian recipes | Tiffycooks Vlog

Welcome to episode 2 of Before 30! It's my parent’s 30th wedding anniversary, so I thought it would be fun to surprise them with a mini getaway trip to Whistler and make them a 6-course home-cooked meal! 🥰
On the menu, we have sticky pork belly, tea eggs, stuffed chicken wings, pan-fried shrimp, and Taiwanese pork chops. Food has always been my family’s love language, so to celebrate their love, I thought there was no better way to express my appreciation for them than to cook a delicious meal.
I have a few of the recipes already on my blog listed below, but let me know if you would like a detailed recipe for any of these dishes!
I am so grateful to be able to celebrate my parent’s 30th anniversary before I turn 30. Life is so short, so here is your sign to spread some love today 💕

What’s amazing is our parents may never use words but their actions alone show us how much they love us. I think that’s part of the reason my love language is food. My Korean mom says watching people eat my food with enthusiasm and joy fills me up so I don’t need to eat. I always thought that was silly until I felt it. The real tip I need is how you keep everything warm and fresh when you’re making multiple dishes at once. I find it so hard to time everything so it’s all fresh and hot at the same time, since there’s limited cooking space and frankly- attention. I think have a large tea warmer handy is good. Cause if u r cooking lots you will do it an hour ahead. The dishes will be exposed to air and get cold. Either place them in a pre-heated oven to keep warm or put a warmed up tea warmer over the dishes so they stay hot. In India we use hot packs which are casseroles to keep food warm. It's so good to see you repaying your parents kindness like this ^^

I love that in Asian culture, love is shown through actions because actions speak louder than words. In Western culture, the words "I love you" are used so loosely but it is rarely shown.
