Yeah I dont belive that. Simply because I have never heard about a player who wanted to move but didnt because his agent asked for too much money so he had to stay. Sure an agent might influence a player and try to talk him into joining a specific club and I am sure there are shady individuals who take advantage of their players especially those from poor regions who they sign when they are still super young. But if we are talking about "super agents" like Raiola who usually singns well known players and up and coming worldstars I just dont think what you said applies. Players can choose their agents and especially the more experienced players would have no reason to flock to someone like Raiola if he would impact them in any negative way. Players love him because he gets them the best possible contracts. The story of the evil agent who dictates where the player can and can not move to is just that, a story. And it is also a role he is very willing to play just so fans can be upset about the all powerful, evil agent while the poor and helpless player can keep his babyface while squeezing every last penny out of his club. Judging by comments like this it seems to work really really well. In reality this is ofcourse complete bs and Raiola is the players best friend and does everything they want him to. Or how do you explain that well established players keep signing him as an agent? Just take the recent Haaland transfer. He too had Raiola as his agent and dozens of clubs wanted to sign him. Where did he end up? At Dortmund. Do you really think he went there because the club paid Raiola more money than United or Juventus would(both wanted to sign Haaland)? Ofcourse not. Haaland wanted to sign for a club like Dortmund, so Raiola made it possible for him. Another player might want to move to the highest bidding club, so he does that too. You can be assured that if a transfer a player really wanted didnt work out because the agent wanted too much money the player will have another agent in no time. The story about the evil super agent is just so much bs.
