and nuno was called an out of his depth terrorist during his time at spurs... that club is really astonishing.
@tengille7 күн бұрын
I actually want to say that Tifo called that out like years ago. Levy building that gargantuan stadium, and some other big things like giving Son and some other players a bag, means they're not going to be able to keep squad quality depth or refill the ranks as other big teams will. That, compounded with a ton of injuries, is what's killing them this season. Their bench, minus Reguilon, is like entirely young guys. They're going down the dark path of "the owner can't get out of the way" like United.
@frankunodostres4737 күн бұрын
@@tengille yeah it's weird. but at the same time it's also crazy how tottenham has been a top club for the last 20 years (based on their league positions) but somehow never managed to win a trophy. arsenal, manu, liverpool, even leicester all had their moments of glory. wild if you think about it. but this is also the first season in recent memory where they could finish outside the top 10. they were more consistent than most clubs. and even with their worst squad in ages, they are doing well in europe. just a very confusing club lol
@tengille7 күн бұрын
@ personally, they've never hit on a manager. and i don't think they're a "top team". idk what the bookmakers say but i bet its worse than 50/50 they get into Champions League each year, if you were to bet August 1st. they've had great players, who have all left for greener pastures (kane, bale, modric, walker, berbatov, carrick, trippier) and that will continue. until they get to that arsenal level of being a legit challenger, once (they've never truly challenged for a PL title in recent history) they're just "good", at best
@frankunodostres4737 күн бұрын
@@tengille outside of england they are seen as a top club because they are part of the "big 6". this season could be the start of a descend to midtable/in contention for europe aka 6-8th. but who knows, maybe they turn it around again. the first months under ange they looked very strong. you never know what you get with spurs

The real Bournemouth story was Eddie Howe taking them from league 1 to prem and keeping them there long enough to break through into an established side. All Iraola has done is build on top. He’s not even achieved anything yet either😂 many managers have done this before. Fulham, Bolton, Middlesbrough, West Ham, wolves, Burnley, Leicester. It’s not that great of an achievement compared to the rest. Leicester won the prem, wolves, Burnley and Bolton made Europe, Middlesbrough got to the final of uefa cup and Fulham took athleti to extra time in the final of the europa league.

I'm guessing from the timing of your comment (e.g. 4 min after it was released, when it's a 6 min long video), that you didn't watch the whole video, you just reacted to to the headline. If you'd have watched it all you'd have seen that they address the fact that Forest are far outstripping their underlying stats, so could regress to the mean. But then you wouldn't have top likes if you'd have waited. So as clicks win then you've won this particular game.
@AshtonGascoigne8 күн бұрын
@@HarryWessexno it isn’t? Bournemouth have gradually gotten here. They finished comfortably in mid table and everyone had them pushing into top 10. Anderson and Milenkovic always looked sensational business. Both have levelled up Forest immeasurably and I thought they’d do well after those coups. Yates playing with Anderson is a new player, their chemistry is excellent.
@ManUtd-Gerrard8 күн бұрын
Nottingham Forest is thriving under a manager who combines precision with tactical sharpness. Their recruitment has been excellent on a modest budget..Murillo (10m) has grown into a top defender perfectly complemented by Milenkovic (12m). Ola Aina a two-footed fullback arrived on a free while goalkeeper Sels (5m) has been a revelation. Even Moreno’s loan has added valuable depth. In midfield Morgan Gibbs-White’s creativity pairs seamlessly with Elliot Anderson’s energy while Ryan Yates provides grit & determination. Up front Chris Wood is in red-hot form converting chances consistently. Defensively Forest is rock solid tough to break down & they frequently score first which shifts games in their favor. Their system suits every player perfectly & they’ve benefited from a lack of midweek fixtures allowing time for rest & preparation..an overlooked advantage.

@TheWolfXCIX8 күн бұрын
The whole situation with Brennan Johnson was a joke. If FFP forces club to sell players below value at the start of a window, rather than later in the window where they can maximise values, then the rules aren't fit for purpose. It's not like forest massively overspent, the only rule breakage was related to timing.
@Matthew-bu7fg7 күн бұрын
As a Forest fan, that is the sad reality. You either comply with the rules, are subsequently not strong enough, and get relegated (Luton's a great example of this). Or you do what we did. Broke the rules, took the hit of the deduction but use the time allotted to build for something big.

Really happy to see a new team breach the top end of the Prem despite an admittedly very negative style of play (cry if you want but it is what it is, its a way to win games), the one thing I would say to Forest fans is to stay humble and remember that they flirted with relegation last season, and a few bad results to start next season or poor recruitment in the summer/teams figuring out a way to play their game can see them right back there. I have seen some absolutely insane takes from Forest fans since they hit some form, claiming players as world class or better than X or Y player who have maintained great PL form for a lot longer than Forest have. I understand Forest have a much larger and grander history than alot of PL teams but that does not shield you from the ebb and flow of the PL and how quickly things can change. Aside from that, a genuine well done to Forest, love to see it !
