I see that as selfish, stopping stranger to sign something. Why do you need that autograph? To brag to others? Do others require autographic proof that you saw someone? That's another selfish thing. Imagine strangers asking for your autograph or, worse, 'selfies'. I don't want my picture taken and shared with strangers today you selfish weirdo. I once saw my favorite character in my favorite show (at the time) in a store. It was late at night so we were the only two people in the whole store. I just smiled from afar when my brain recognized him and continued shopping. Absolutely zero interactions. He didn't notice anything. If the tables were turned, that's how I want strangers to treat me: by not. Just leave me alone. I don't know you. Don't interrupt my day.

Not everyone has the same reaction to a person. Some celebrity might have helped someone through a tough time with their music or they can relate because they went through a similar experience. Artist do make art to connect with people. To say everyone should act one particular way when they see someone they admire is ridiculous. I leave people alone, but I can understand people's excitement over spotting there heroes.

LOL that's me, i went traveling to Brazil and noticed that Wanderlei Silva (old school MMA fighter) came off the same plane as me then on the luggage retrieval thing i walked by him and said "What's up Wanderlei", fist bumped him then proceeded to go around looking for my luggage. I think it caught him off guard because he kept staring at me then came all the way around the conveyor belt and started to ask me questions lol... we ended up taking a pic together and had a nice chat, turns out he is a great guy behind that mean looking face!

This reminds me of that one time my brother and I ran into James Gandolfini. I used to live in Belleville NJ where they would sometimes shoot scenes from "The Sopranos" at the local funeral home. My brother and I were walking to the store down the block from the funeral home to buy a dutchmaster to roll a blunt with. As we turn the corner where the funeral home is we both walk past Mr. Gandolfini to cross the street neither of us looking at him but rather noticed within our peripherals the shape of Gandolfini. As we're crossing the street we turn to each other rather than looking back to confirm and I say to my brother, "Was that James Gandolfini?" Then we just went along our business. I remember also noticing a trailer parked in front and dividers keeping people back which suggested there was a scene taking place as Gandolfini was walking alone. It's entirely possible there is a blooper shot they didn't use of my brother and I walking into frame right past Gandolfini ruining that take because they didn't secure the perimeter of the building to prevent that from happening. I am that guy who's indifferent to celebrity encounters.

Hahahaha this is funny because that's exactly how I am with celebs too, but I'm def not that guy. (Since I never saw her at an airport, and I'm not a dude lol.) But everytime I've met celebs, like Ethan Hawke or Lady Gaga or Anderson Cooper, I'm super chill and they always seem to be struck by that and do a double take. But it's like, dude they're just people. Granted, when I met Jim Gaffigan - who's one of my fave comedians - I kinda freaked out lol, but that's only bc I really love his comedy. I might also just be super mellow when meeting celebs bc 1) I'm a New Yorker, and we're known for not giving anyone special treatment. 2) I'm a waitress - so in my business - we're trained to act cool when high profile people come in. But I've always been like that regardless.
