I'm relatively a beginner but I'm having some nice success with HF pulse, and .045 wire. Perfect fit up really helps, but on occasion when blowing a hole on tack or something the HF really helps build it back up

He's using it as a cap to keep argon trapped inside. It's called "purging". If you look closely you can see the hose going into the bottom.

I remember you asking if anyone really wants to see this kind of thing or just assuming that no one does... Good job, nice edit! I'm curious, what gas lens/torch assembly is that (I feel like I missed something, I've seen a few videos using white gas lenses recently that I know nothing about), what rod and what welder are you using/settings? I think a video setting this kind of thing up showing what you're using, like what saw you're using to make the cuts, what angle you're pie cutting at (looks very close to the typical 7.5", though you may be eyeballing...), how you line things up/fit things up/lay them out... would go over well. Weld porn for those into that, instruction/example for those trying to teach themselves, and "maybe I'll notice something that would help/speed things up/make things easier" for those that have a clue. It's funny how the world works. All that color in those welds is killer advertising in the motorsports and weld porn worlds where they'd automatically be failed by certain critical inspection procedures. I do more MIG than TIG, and have a very refined MIG stack of dimes look which would likely automatically fail some inspections but is specifically requested. Oh well...

Welders set at 80 amps, post flow is all preset in the machine, cup is a furick BBW about a #18, flow out of the torch is about 30-35 cfh
