We went here in last week. When you go from Lonavala to Lion's point, the second hairpin bend (right turn) was in shambles. It's already steep and there was lot of rubble there and some part of the road was broken. Only one way traffic was possible. Lot of new drivers were failing to climb up, requiring passengers to get out and push. I usually don't need handbrake assistance, but for this turn I had to rely on Handbrake too. Mostly because there was a lot of traffic piled up. Rest was very easy.

How is the elevation on ghat sharp turns, for a not so experienced drivers ?

Easy.. 1st gear and you are good to go.
