Would love to see another Davus pentiloris video mine are a bit older now and 3 seem fine docile to transfer and then the 4th one makes my soul leave my body they will throw dirt to fool you to think they went the other way this species is very intelligent 🙂

I really love your work and want to thank you for the solid information. I ordered myself 4 slings and 4 terrariums 15x15x25 cm and hopefully they will be fine in there. (One of them a davus pentaloris) Tarantulas are great pets to me. My friends wanted me to get fish or maybe a scorpion which is not a ideal pet to me, because I feel like both need much more caring for ideal temperature and cleansiness and tarantulas are much more colorful and general more exotic looking and oh man they are cheap. I would not be frightened to be biten as long as I know that the poison isn't to dangerous. Keep up the good work 💪 ❤

Davus Pentaloris, one minute they sit and pretend to be asleep the next minute they are on their toes. Watch out for the very quick burst of speed they can catch you out in a blink of an eye.

beaut of a T, was the first one i wanted and got, however fed her twice and she blocked off her hide i got worried after a month as she was not very big and there she was no sign of molting or anything wrong with her and she blocked of her hide again :( that was 2 weeks ago and no sign of her still(gutted). well hope you have better luck will look forward to the updates :)

Dave any chance you can do a follow up on these? I'm looking at getting one, probably a 1inch sling. There is info out there on them but some of it is misleading. I just lost my Avicularia metallica sling due my own stupidity by running the humidity up to high. I feel like a moron for doing that and it cost the poor thing its life.

This is how we learn my friend and you wont do it again, the Tiger Rumps are pretty straight forward but very quick and nervous spiders I will be doing a rehouse of these guys over Christmas so will make it a care video too.👍

They come into a calm place lol my poor striped leg listens to heavy metal , takes food like a tiger in the wild and eats like a pig I can’t put three Crickets in the cage and before the hit the dirt she’s got them and the crazy thing is he or she runs around and gets all three and carries them around in he or she’s fangs until she’s got all of them so then I’ll come back 10 to 15 later and it has devoured them idk how she able to do this so quickly her venom must be sulfuric acid I pray to never get bit iv owned tarantulas before not my first spider by any means just I thought the said Mexican striped knees were slow like my pink toe was idk what the hell the pet store was doing but this spider will eat everyday if you feed it everyday but I only feed every 2 or 3 days at the most but the first two days I had it I feed one or 2 crickets a day but it ate like it’s starving it reminds me of my dog when it sees food and my dogs a fatal but I know you can hurt them if you over feed

I have one of these spiders but won’t eat. I know they won’t in pre moult but it’s been about 3 months!

As long as all your conditions are correct I would not worry about the time a spider refuses to eat provided its abdomen has not shrunk to much always make sure there is fresh water at all times, one of mine has been hidden away for two months now and not eaten but it has not lost any condition so theres nothing to worry about just yet.

I think this male is the davus sp fasciatus the Costa Rican tiger rump it was sold as a Mexican tiger rump from the spider shop but there so similar it's hard to tell

You shouldn’t make them come out into the enclosure right when you get them. You should open the lid and put the container in the enclosure and let them come out by themselves. They are very stressed and bored when they are at your house after being shipped. They were just token out of there home and put into little containers with unfamiliar material and squished in, then shipped for miles or kilometers depending on where your from. So pls just put the container they are in in there with the top off of the container. And leave let them come out and get used to there environment without any big potential predators forcing them out.

I always remove them so I can check them over to make sure there is no issues with them, there is no harm in removing them the quicker we can get them settled the better for them 👍👍
