BUILDING a Mushroom Enclosure for my TIGER RUMP TARANTULAS!

In today's video we rehouse two of my tarantulas, update on the 4 I rehoused last year and make more MUSHROOM ENCLOSURES! Also find out how you can COMPETE to WIN a mushroom enclosure for your own spider.
Comp details:
- Must be 18+
- Worldwide
- Make your best enclosure! Decorate it however you want the only rules are
- I want it to be SAFE and APPROPRIATE for the spider
- MUST be for a SPIDER but ANY SPECIES (tarantula, wolf, trapdoor, jumping, velvet, etc)
- If you don’t have a tarantula or spider you can still participate but say what species you’d keep in that enclosure
- SUBMIT on INSTAGRAM with hashtag #TKATENCLOSUREBUILD and include what SPECIES it’s for in description
- Must submit by APRIL 14
- Will film a reaction video after and pick TOP 3
- Will have a PUBLIC vote for FIRST place, other 2 will get stickers.

those are really cute enclosures! I just got two baby slings these past two weeks--I got my first, Midnight, a g. pulcra sling and my giant mexican red knee sling (B. Smithi) and well..they are so tiny I just have them in basic basic acrylic enclosures;) I used bottle caps for their water dishes, cocoa fiber substrate that is keeping the humidity really nice..and a leaf as a hide...not sure what else I can put in these tiny enclosures though--any suggestions anyone? May have to come up with a theme to do for each of them and well...lol...am leaning towards a skull and graveyard for one and trying to figure out what i wanna do for the other:) Good luck to all who do enter the contest:) and ty so much Kat for doing your videos--am enjoying learning more about my new little friends:)

my wife went and bought the mushroom enclosure from target lol and while I may not be the biggest fan of spider she's going to be getting and obt orange baboon tarantula for her first tarantula and already done tons of research on all the breeds and now has a notebook with anything she needs to know across the tarantula community :), she'll probably end up posting on Instagram for the build as well lol

I just got one last week cause I was having trouble getting my acorns to sprout.... three days after putting one in the mushroom I got a sprout!😃 Gave my youngest all the stuff that came with it and he explores the backyard with them

Tarantulas are like potato chips. Once you try them, it's hard to have just one. When I got into tarantulas I had over a dozen within the 1st year of keeping them lol. They are addictive. Plus since some pet stores wont sell you less than a half dozen crickets at a time, it just makes sense to have at least a few tarantulas. Its often basically just as easy to care for 5 or 6 as it is to care for just 1.

So I know putting fish in spherical tanks is gonna stress the fish out a lot cause it messes with their vision. But what about spherical enclosures for land-dwelling animals that rely on vision??? I'm asking this purely cause I'm a bit concerned about putting a Jumpingspider into a Mushroom-jar like this (though it has a top lid so i kinda don't think that's a good fit anyways)

I believe I had this type of tarantula sling show up in my house a few years ago… may have escaped from a neighbor… thought it was weird to have a tiger striped spider just chilling on my floor. I captured and released outside as I wasn’t sure where it came from… and cats torture all spiders. I warn them but they insist on coming in, then they seek me out once a limb or two is missing.
