From the "artist" POV or from a "consumer" POV?
@kenapiece6212
@kenapiece6212 3 жыл бұрын
@@axel9546 to be honest, both! Artists find fulfillment in creating things that are personal to them, to express their values and emotions in a way that makes it possible for other people to perceive it. Or even just fornthe process of creating itself, private art sessions that are just calming and exciting! And if course the consumers encounter art with their own emotions. They connect to it, interpret it, and make up their own conclusion from them! It creates comfort, sadness, anger and many other emotions from watching a movie, looking at a painting and listening to music! And most importantly, the art connects all the consumers that interact with it, as well as the artists that create it!

iirc, the timelapse feature is still relatively new. knowing celsys, they should be able to optimize the feature in succeeding iterations. also, you can totally import your custom PS brushes to CSP so that should take a little time off from tinkering with the brush settings.

Well something to take into account is PhotoShop is oriented for photography, not for illustration, then in term of painting paint with photoshop is like hammering a nail with a stone instead of a hammer, photoshop is a great software for photography but not as great for illustration, first NAVIGATION the navigation in Clip Studio is superior and helps to speed up your workflow from shortcuts to the way you manipulate the canvas and tools if you compare the way the "hand" tool works in photoshop is just awkward and is more smooth and easy in CSP just that single detail speed your workflow a lot, BRUSHES ok here we must talk about technical stuff the 2 main characteristics of a brush are FLOW and OPACITY, mostly all software recognize SIZE by pen pressure called y PS Shape Dynamics, but TRANSFER as is called in PS (OPACITY, TRANSPARENCY) PS and CSP have both types of transparency while Procreate only has ONE type of transparency, in PS you have "Opacity Jitter" and "Flow Jitter" CSP have it as well just with different names, but this limitation in the brushes makes Procreate not a professional tool and just a software for enthusiasts, 3D DATA here CSP surpasses PS is an OVERKILL, CSP can FULL manipulate 3D models even work with rigged 3D models (models with skeleton, armature to can be animated) in the EX version can even extract artline from 3d models, COMIC CREATION CSP EX have comic and webtoon creation tools PS doesn't have, 2D ANIMATION onion skin and all necessary tools are present and remember Retas Studio was the industry standard for anime creation and CSP is the successor of Retas Studio (also created by Celcys) Retas Studio is the software used to create animes as Naruto just to mention one you probably know, CSP also excel in Manga creation as successor of Manga STudio, we ae not talking about an amateur tool we are talking about the Industry Standar in Japan and Japan is probably the most advanced in the creation of 2D animation (plus disney switches to cheap 3d animation) I could keep talking about many other features but to resume we are talking about one of the BEST softwares for illustration in the market and is you compare the price for sure you are getting big value

Gorgeous work! I'm a fan! You mentioned having issues with the brush cursor changing into the select tool.. I have the same issue but I don't run Photoshop at the same time. I make one stroke with a brush, and then it switches to the pointer (select tool) on its own. I don't press any buttons... It's extremely frustrating. I wonder if other people have issues with it too.

What gorgeous details and colour combination. I noticed you used to ink your drawings & erase away the pencil sketches, then watercolor over it. Then, sometimes you'll watercolor directly over pencilled drawing. Which one is better? And how did you avoid the ink from 'bleeding' out when you paint it with watercolor?
@mattjabbar
@mattjabbar 3 жыл бұрын
I use waterproof inks that do not bleed once they dry on the paper. The choice of ink vs pencil is dictated by the theme and atmosphere of the picture - more soft and dreamy ones usually work better with pencils.
