Corbett has been a favored destination of mine since i was a child. In those days one had to carry all the ration for a few days inside for self cooking. Thats where the seeds of overlanding were planted in my head as a child. Year was 1981-82 and i was 7 to 8 years old. Mandal Riverside has a beautiful location. Thanks for showing it. @Dinesh I am inspired by your wanderlust, the need to seek the unseen is really infectious. I had a question for you on thar/Gurkha. Both have its own strengths & weakness. However, in context of a good overlanding vehicle (note not core off-roading), what would you recommend a Petrol Thar (want to avoid BS6 issues with diesel) or a Gurkha. Please do let me know.

not dinesh but if u wanna explore places with lower temps more oftenly go with gurkha, but if it isnt that case go with thar cuz more articulation better capabilities more bed flatness etc. etc

@@OCD.. Petrol Thar has no cold start or DEF issues unlike Diesel Thar. So if you can live with the lower fuel efficiency of Petrol Thar and higher Petrol prices, go for it. As per my experience so far on this channel, Thar is a more capable off roader and highway car. More refined engine, interiors and technology. Go for the automatic transmission and it’s auto diff locks and better articulation makes it a better and easier to use off-roader.

Hi Sanjeev, this is the designated path to reach the village on the other side of the river and is used by locals all day. No one is making a capability video, it’s shot while we had to cross the river. And this water is not consumed by locals, they bath and wash clothes in it which is not good but I am just telling what is true. You should know that there are lot of places in Himalayas where you won’t find bridges and need to cross these water streams.
