Tiger Snakes - aggressive or defensive? 🐍
If a snake defends itself we are apt to describe its behavior as 'aggressive'. What is more likely is you're between it and what it believes is safety.
You've probably surprised it by approaching faster than it can perceive your presence and the snake has panicked.
In our experience, snakes are defensive, not aggressive.
Be careful around the yard or in the bush and be aware that animals and snakes are likely to be around.
