Tiger was revolutionary. He changed the whole dynamic of the game of golf. The many talented young players on the tour now who make one incredible shot after another are largely the result of pioneer TW who raised the game to a much higher level. Golf equipment manufacturers benefited as well. We all did. Thank you Tiger. 👏🏻👍🏻

Tiger never caused the equipment to get better. The companies have to come out with a new gimmick every year or they won't sell any equipment. They keep trying to improve the equipment only so it will sell. One company will always try to get a leg up on another company. It had nothing to do with Tiger.

one of the best scramblers ever, and imo the best putter ever. often overlooked by many..his entire career if his ball's within 12ft of the cup, it's goin in. if tiger doesn't match JN's major wins, he's still the best golfer to ever play. period

Yeah, I agree Tiger's peak was more impressive...but give 22 year old Jack Nicklaus a pro v1x and today's equipment and look the hell out...he'd be outdriving Rory, DJ, and almost everyone else easily. He was also damn near as good a putter as Tiger. I'm not saying he'd be better than Tiger, but it would be interesting..
@markg.8030
@markg.8030 2 жыл бұрын
@@jamesfleming2641 Tiger being so good and being the biggest thing in sports is why the equipment has gotten so much better because of the money being made in golf and obviously technology changing. Jack beat the field by a couple shots in his prime. Tiger beat the field by 12-15 strokes in majors when they all used the same equipment. Tiger is the best golfer of all time it’s not close.

Try watching the old Master broadcasts. True spectators that didn't have to say "you da man" or "get in the hole' on every stinking shot.. Nothing beats the quiet buildup of a crowd cheering as a putt or chip rolls towards the cup and goes in. Nobody needed to say "get in the hole". They watched in quiet amazement and cheered a truly great shot.
