The thing is, it is too early into the game to think about different strategies. After this fight, I did explore other alternatives and strategies. The way I beat this tiger was a combination of luck and grinding for levels. If I am not mistaken, I beat the tiger in level 40 haha. I did learn about better ways of fighting and stuff for the end boss of this chapter. The thing is, they definitely need saved files and a difficulty setting.

If you have the serpent scale armor set USE IT in this fight. It will save you so much with the health regeneration while being in water. That’s why I couldn’t beat this fight before, I’d unload on him and he’d only have like 1/4 health but I’d be completely out of my gourd medicine and about to die by then and this saved me. Also just try to learn his attacks and dodge times.

There’s an easier way to beat him 1. Do not spam your abilities at the beginning. At half health he gets much more aggressive. You can get him there by patience and dodging. 2. Speaking of dodging, perfect dodges fill your focus meter for a heavy attack. When you dodge him hit him with the heavy attacks. Make him pay for missing. 3. At half health unload the abilities on him. It will take him down to about 1/5 health then return to your earlier strategy.

yeah i recommend everyone learn to fight the bosses properly with staff attacks and dodging.. eventually once youve gotten it the long chain attacks arent anything different than before just longer.. its really about learning the balance of dodging at the right times then attacking in the opening windows if you didnt get hit and managing your stamina bar by occasionally retreating and resting.. very tricky..

Fun facts, headless Buddha was actually the deity who brought disasters upon the small country to instil fear so that they would worship him. Yellow wind sage on the other hand was actually a good yaoguai protecting the country from the disasters. This can be found in the journals.

You are not the only one. This tiger boss had me trap for more than 2 hours trying to beat him. To beat him, you need to be patience, do small trade with him then keep dodging his attacks then find small opening then continue do small hits on him til he's dead.

If you go back to the monkey merchant you met before the white noble fight, he sells a tiger repellant drink that gives you some extra damage for this fight, if I remember correctly, it helped like crazy lol

I did like 60 tries, even started NPC farming to get sparks to get stronger, discovered whole gigantic parts of the map because I circled back to see if I missed stuff, and I still didn't manage to beat him myself. I did a share-play on PS5 with my buddy that finished the game, he beat him 2nd try with lag. I never been more devastated. Then he told me it gets worse!!! I think I will stop playing. Just a tip, go back to the first chapter to the monkey before you battle that White clad noble boss, buy some soaks there that will improve your health

For the Red Tides transformation you'll wanna do light attacks to fill up the focus meter then when it's full you'll wanna dodge forward and heavy attack which does a big overhead slam which has stunned every boss I've fought so far (still in chapter 2) I also highly recommend crafting and wearing the pilgrim's headband as it's unique effect lets you heal while moving

Tip: Use the Serpentscale Set, which massively reduces stamina cost when in water. It also has a unique effect that grants a small amount of health when your health is low.

1) Wear White clad Noble Armour 2) Use your best Staff 3) Farm at least 25 sparks at Squall Hideout or enough until u get enough points to put 4 into Max health 4 into Max mana 3 into Max stam 6 into attack power 4 into focused breath (31 sparks) Then distribute the other 46 sparks between the Smash stance , the extra skills , the Martial Arts down to six hits, the whole stamina tree except the last 3 abilities and Immobilise down to the bottom skill and cloud step on the 1st 2 skills.

The Tiger was a mighty foe. For many many hours i fought and failed. I discovered that if you dodge without moving the character you can avoid his hits with better efficiency. I was finally victorious and it was SOOOOOOOO satisfying!!!
