What a golf swing. I watched him win the slam at St Andrews in year 2000. His swing was sublime, incredible speed.

@@varitasaequitas1490 hey buddy Pros don't hit it flush Every Time.. even they enjoy the sound you just heard of a flush iron shot striking the ball before the turf.. Were you not born yet when tiger had The Yips? Plenty of bad shots and drop kicks he's hit all around the internet that sound anything but flush. Tiger is the best putter of all time not the best ball Striker. Kid, You don't have to be a jackass to any other reply above. Then someone like me might be a jackass back to show you how it feels. If Tiger hit the ball flush every time, he wouldn't have been quoted as saying "My second favorite sound in golf is hearing a flush iron shot, but it Trails by far to feeling the putter Head release and the ball striking the center of the putter head like butter to make a 12 ft putt when the tournament is on the line." Which he did Time After Time. Check out his final Putt and regulation on 18 in the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines.

Tiger did a espn clip with Butch Harmon in 2000 & he would do a pump drill with his back turned. This allows him to drop the club on plane & not spin his hips which he had a bad habit before the big 1998 swing fix. His hips would be so fast & if you tried stopping them out of sync, you’re coming right over the top.

People.. you should understand this is valid for people with an athletic, trained, agile and preferably young body. If you don't have one, DONT CARE ABOUT THIS. Just find YOUR OWN SWING and it will work with practice. I've seen people playing under 80 with unwatchable swings. At the end of it, it's just you, your clubs and the ball. You just need to send it straight and there are thousand of ways to do it. Just pick your way, and train it to be consistent. Don't put too much theory in your brain like most people do, or you will never hit under 80. BRAIN MUST BE EMPTY WHEN YOU SWING!!! Good luck

Right shoulder back (not driving right shoulder into ball) is exactly what I started working on this week before seeing this video!

The hips have always and will always pull the club face to the ball. As if a string was attached to the butt of the grip and tied to the left hip. It’s that simple💯

The average Tiger Woods fan will try to tell you that Tiger has an unorthodox golf swing, that will lead to you getting injured should you try to replicate. But as you can see Tiger's swing is fundamentally correct. What the average and experienced golfer should avoid is Tiger's workout regiment. Overtraining led to Tiger's injuries. Oh, and don't drive angry either.

I like Rory’s swing better, Tiger is a bit handsy with it. Tiger being Tiger it works for him, but for the rest of us being handsy leads to really good days with magic touches and really bad days where one may want to snap their clubs 🤣

If you don't keep the trail shoulder back when starting the downswing it'll result in a slice from an over the top swing path. Definitely something I have to be careful with.
@haricsl

But that’s exactly tigers point, hands need to come down before left shoulder comes back around, otherwise you will be steep and over the top. He’s just getting the arms to sync up with body movement (no one forgets the shoulder turn but a lot of amateurs including me don’t actively get arms down back on plane quick enough)

Tiger Woods was among the very few PGA players who slip the right upper arm to the front of right chest before impact. That's because he rely on the left side to generate the power,that may be the reason of the injury at everywhere of his left side. But now he had make the change, may because of the consistency with the swing style of his son Charlie.

Wrong in so many ways. He doesn't move the distal element before he starts with his postal segment, it would be like starting in 6th gear cause the car goes fastest in 6th. Secondly, the initial move would be more linear than angular.

He is not giving general swing advice here. He is responding to a specific player's swing and offering a drill to help that person overcome his specific swing flaw. What he is showing is an exaggerated feel for that person to try. The video title makes it seem like Tiger is giving generalized swing advice, but he is not. The clip was taken from a longer video in which Tiger was responding to swing videos that had been sent in for analysis.
