@@breadfan262 Both of 'em are Great. How can you say that if they never played against each other, they played in different eras and it is just unfair to say one is better than the other. Or if you want to put numbers into it Tiger now has 82 pga tour wins, more than Jack's; and also Tiger has the biggest crowds in sports history as for one man; and also he has earned more than any other player ever. Does these facts make Tiger better than Jack? no, it doesn't. And even if Tiger wins 18 majors it just won't make him the GOAT because again, they played in different times

My dad was a sports writer for the Fort Worth Star Telegram for 40 years (he's now retired). So I've been fortunate enough to be able to get close to many of the greatest people in sports. In 1993 I got to spend the weekend with Nolan Ryan and his family at his hunting cabin. I've met Jerry Jones, Aikman, Irvin, Sanders, The Moose, Emmit.....etc One year my dad was working the Byron Nelson golf tournament. He spent Friday and Saturday out there, but he didn't plan on being out there on the final day. So he let me go instead, and I got to use his press pass so I could get better parking and actually get closer to all the action on each hole where the press people were at. And as luck would have it, Tiger Woods was leading that whole tournament and naturally he won in the end. I believe that was the last time Tiger played the Byron Nelson I think. Getting to stand right there only a few feet from Tiger as he would drive the ball is one of those things you won't ever forget. It was so damn impressive.

After so much time since his peak years you almost forget how astounding his accomplishments are... 3 wins in first 9 tries as a pro, 8 wins in one year followed by 8 wins the next year, over 20% winning percentage... insane. No reason in the world why he can’t win some more

Tigers spin with the old grooves was pretty unbelievable. Probably wasn’t the single reason they made the restrictions but I like to think he was
@JP-jd5vz4 жыл бұрын
@@obito8950 that's a different argument. Tiger spun his irons differently then anyone else because he was such a better ball striker. Give everyone the same grooves, Tigers beats them all. So that's not a valid argument at all.

Joseph Dwyer I was kind of trolling when I said he probably wasnt the reason. Yes Tigers ball striking is goated but no he was not the reason they changed the grooves. And tbh I don’t even really know what you’re saying. Have you changed sides and are now defending the argument that Tiger was in fact the reason they handicapped the grooves?
@obito89504 жыл бұрын
Joseph Dwyer I don’t think you understand the original post my dude. He said 14 feet hence making the game harder. Groove change is all I could think of that was a similar so I rolled with it.
