skadill - Yep. I don't know how remote this site is, but there's a good chance that the land will be reinstated after the coal's been stripped. If the angry brigade came back in 50 years they'd probably find nothing but (young) trees round a lake, with deer, buzzards, bears and squirrels. Or maybe a mini-mall selling pictures of deer, buzzards, bears and squirrels! ;-) Whatever. Another great video, IMHO.

Elli P yeah most of them Environmentalis don't think logically looking at the big picture it's like they are looking through a straw it's like what you said about the future the land will probably be better than it was before. Leftist' s only go off of "feelings" they won't even entertain the other sides point

@@PAmining Actually I very much enjoy your channel. Too many people make too many assumptions which is why we have a country that believes that half of the people hate the other half when in reality you have less than 1% on both sides who are idiots who spread lies and hate.

Justin Great video. sir. You should make some merchandise likr shirts or hats. Sell them to us. All of your videos are top notch and very informative. I sit down with my 4 year old twins and 11 year old son . ( all truck lovers ) and watch all the documentaries you make and then the footage of the mining trucks. You must have an aweome job. How is your drup truck running these days ? The 85 ton euclid?

PAmining that's kinda what I figured we don't have a lot of that big equipment around here.. A buddy of mine his dad has a mining company his name Is Albert Stiffler they do a lot of mine reclamation for the state.. But they are stripping about 2 miles from my house they have been on that site for about 12 years for about the past 5 years they haven't done much mining because of the price of coal

Most likely sub'ed out. The mine could not keep up with the clearing and the expensive machines would be sitting idle. Plus the logging company logo on the side of the Tigercat is a dead give away.

Seems to be some limestone rock or something similar, hard rock would make a lot of sparks and saw would require new teeth

It's probably either a sandstone or conglomerate. That's what makes up most of the rock beds on this job.
@alco424

Yep, he did. No big deal, the teeth are bolted on and square, and get turned a quarter turn to present a new cutting surface. Easy fix at the end of the day if they get dull enough.
