i love these shows Scott, im learning so mucb from you, i dont know all the rules i had a look and boy its a lot !!!! i just love watching this beautiful game and i support the Tigers as my Dad worked in detroit and got me a sweatshirt with tigers on, just cos i love tigers. that was many, many years ago and i just got interested in baseball and i thought who am i going to support then instantly it came to me, has to be them. we in UK born & bred and my dad went over there to show the American factory this part he invented, he got his patent x

DFA Wentz. DFA Easton Lucas. Recall Sean Guenther (last 30 days: 1.59 ERA/0.97WHIP), Bryan Sammons (last 30 days: 1.14 WHIP/.179 Avg. Against), and Matt Manning (cuz he's already on the 40 man roster). Are these long term solutions ? I doubt it. But they have to do something. Wentz especially has had a large sample size to show what he's got, which is nothing. Englert is a home run factory. And they might have to keep him on this staff for the time being...

I am not a hitting coach, but it seems that Riley's swing is too long. It may benefit hit to shorten his swing a bit. He is one of my favorite Tigers. Rooting for his success.

When I saw they had Maeda starting a loss was obvious but then replacing him with Wentz and then Englert, may have well not even played and just forfeit Wentz definitely needs to be gone and why is Englert even on the team?

I just heard that the batting average for mlb right now is a low .240. Will they raise/lower the mound? How about moving home plate back 6 inches. Of course that affects our pitchers, too. Hmm. Great to see Malloy getting things going.

Defensive positioning is pointless if you don't field the ball, was tired of hearing Benetti & Jones tell us how fast the surface is, Keith has to make that play to it 4-1

Scott Harris should not and will not trade assets in pursuit of a one game playoff. The division is done deal and wildcard is a pipe dream due to lax position players. Acquiring 35 yr olds is tantamount to signing ACL in NFL. Riley Greene seems fine except for one thing- he opens up very quickly in his swing, opening with body,its great to get body into the swing but an early move with the body kills the idea of hitting with authority. Oh, and Joey Wentz is going bye bye, staff made a valiant effort to reclaim him and it didnt work. Malloy hit cripple pitches with team way behind- Malloy has got no chance with that swing.

Green has been oversold to the fans. He is an OK player, certainly not the superstar we were led to believe.

I think they've done him a dis-service trying to get him to loft balls. Unless he becomes a 30+ homer guy, I preferred him as a line-drive hiitter.

I think you're getting a little carried away by a small sample size in Triple A. The difference between MLB pitching and AAA pitching is immense. Also Jace Jung has made 10 errors at 3B, 11 overall this young year. Between Vierling, Urshela & occasionaly Ibanez, 3B is not nearly the Tigers problem. What will, for me, be more interesting, is how Kriedler and/or Leonard do now that they're back. Kreidler is really the system's only legit shortstop. Baez IMO is in the same boat as Wentz (except - obviously - the $$$). He's had LOTS or rope and has hung himself on it for &*#@!! years now.

Agree. Last night showed that he can't throw the ball over the plate, cuz when he does, it gets clobbered. 4 hits & 4 walks while getting 8 outs.
