Bright side if you’re looking, I know plenty of fans have written off Torkelson, but he’s done really good in his first week down at Toledo, and watching the games his hips look a lot more fluid in his swing. I’m hoping he can keep working and come back up soon.

Tigers signed Miguel Diaz to a minor league contract today. Still throws hard, but has command issues. They got a couple lefties in Toledo getting some innings in. Our bullpen lefties were a strength earlier this year, but, lately not so much. Wouldn't be surprised to see some new blood up here. Another good show Scott. Thank you

Scott, would not be surprised if Mize goes back on the DL. When the splitter frequency goes down and the breaking stuff flattens that is a sign of weakness somewhere in the arm. He threw way too much at Auburn and probably gassed his arm out there.

Mize was becoming a waste of time even before he was drafted. His fastball speed had dropped three mph, but Al Avila and his banditos drafted him anyway. No vetting was their calling card.

I saw an article about how Flaherty would be a good trade target for the Red Sox. It rubbed me the wrong way...like it is just a given that the Tigers are sellers as usual. Seven or eight years in a row under .500 will do that, I guess. It still didn't sit well.

Scott asked how see this team. I overestimated them. My call was 87 wins and stalking a wild card well into September. With Tork falling off, and Greene being solid, but not MVP level, There's clearly just not enough offense. I think they'll be up and down within a few games of .500 pretty much all year. That said, I think its more likely they have a stretch of losing like 8 out of 10, than they are of winning 8 out of 10. And that could put .500 out of reach.

If the Tigers win 8 to 10 straight then we can talk Wild Card. The other teams you see above them have went on a streak. Win 3 lose 3 win 2 lose 3. Playing like this will not get you far. But like always Bless You Boys Tigers Roar in 24 Go Tigers.

I haven't picked up on that about Keith's attitude. I hope you guys are wrong. I do disagree about his ceiling. I see enough to believe he will at least be legitimate every day player. Hopefully, he'll be above average. Not cool if he threw a teammate under the bus, though.

At this point all we need is one or two bats and we can make a playoff push. Boston Toronto and Minnesota are all mediocre as well there’s no excuse to not buy in July

That first game felt like they were on the take 😂😂😂. Sunday’s game was a fun ride. It was hard to be super excited about our boys with the big game in Mew York this weekend which was crazy. Can we please get Teoscar Hernandez to come play for us?

The more the season wears on, the more it seems that the weak points on this team have been allowed to keep costs down. The Tigers are going to use the platoon system and the waiver wire to cover the gaps until there's a prospect ready to take over. It's maddening to think that with a few prudent moves for veteran hitters (the types that slug the ball, drive in runs) this could be a way more consistent team.

Really can’t judge Mize until next year. This year is a get back year. Even without looking I know it takes till the second year to fully get back. The only thing that looks like you can say is his ceiling looks to be middle to back end of the rotation guy

Canha has an OPS of .527 over his last 30 games. Not good.

I think Casey’s problem is sequencing, he’s just way to predictable, I don’t know how many times I’ve seen him get to 2 strikes, then the AB ends on a 3-2 walk or hit

Ushella blooped another key single to help win a game but I still say his career has one foot on the field and another on a banana peel. When the bloops stop finding grass its over. If the Tigers make the playoffs-which isnt going to happen- they couldnt have done it without him because he helped win games. Either way this is his last season, a sub 600 OPS wont be appealing to anybody. He doesnt hit homers nor walk As for Mize- i hated the pick out of college because he didnt pitch with leg drive- instead was all arm. Pedro Martinez said TommyJohn on its way due to these poor mechanics. Tiger coaches improved him slightly so maybe he needs more time to build up after surgery. And I wonder about Colt Keith running that far for a popup knowing a speedy outfield whos built like a NFL linebacker is there. Im sorry but thats not too frkn bright folks. Trade Skubal yesterday to revolutionize the team.

Has anyone noticed that Colt Keith has become a Diva. First he complains about Comerica Park's fences being too far. Then yesterday he throws Baddoo under the bus on that collision claiming he called off Baddoo even though it was Baddoo's ball all the way. Guess we should've expected this considering we gave him a new 6-year contract without him having ever stepped onto an MLB field. Let's not do that anymore!

Guess Baddoo wasn't calling for it hard enough for Keith, although the replays showed Baddoo calling for it before the collision.

Keith is not very good. His overall game looks really suspect. I see this guy being a below average 2b & 275 average with 15hr, with an OPS of 750/2WAR. Not what we were promised. SMH.

Keith has seen his playing time go down because of his lack of offense and poor defense and needs to be sent to Toledo like Parker Meadows to work on his offense.

@@garethridings5338 yeah. Tork, Mead & Keith are looking pretty poor to this point. The best of the youth has been Perez. Which in-turn means disaster. My god, we can’t develop hitters!

I felt before the season started, that based on the additions that Harris made during the offseason, that if everything went right for this team; at best this team was an 85-win team and could contend to win the division or at worst contend for a WC birth. At worst, they'd be a 72-win team with a bunch of injuries to key players and would be a 4th place team in a mediocre division only better than the ChiSox because let's face it, they're tanking the 2024 season. As of now, this team is exactly where they should be based on what we've seen: A .500 team with one key injury, one key demotion, to Carp and Tork. On the flip side, they are getting a resurgence from Flaherty and career years from Skubal and Vierling as well as a bullpen that's been above average in most games, to downright unhittable in a few. My view is they need to be sellers at the deadline unless the rest of the division above them just implodes! The good news is they've got plenty of tradeable players like Skubal, Flaherty, Chafin, Faedo, Miller, Vest, Foley, Kelly, Vierling, Ibanez, Canha, Urshela and Rogers.
