My 1987 Alfa romeoSpider steering was really sloppy. Watched your utube and after spraying Penetrating oil on the nut, did what you explained and voila perfect. Didn't cost me anything and i did it myself. Thanks. Phil

This particular Alfa Romeo is shod with a ZF steering box which you can make adjustments as you've described... the majority of these cars were fitted with a Burman type box which require a lot more attention and setting up.. additionally the steering idler and tie rod ends condition can all attribute to slop as well.. I've got a Burman box on mine and it's a hassle finding decent parts for it and then there's the rebuild process which requires the box coming out etc.. interesting video though, for a moment I thought your fix might have been applicable to my Burman type.. thanks

This video indeed only applies to the more standard-type steering boxes, which the Burman boxes definitely were not. Unfortunately, yours is unnecessarily complicated to rebuild and adjust.

The details of this video are poor. You should be showing where to use the tools, maybe someone else holding the camera could be of help. I need to tighten the box in my '88 spider, but I still have no clue based on this video, sorry!

There is literally an arrow on the video directing viewers specifically to the steering box adjusting screw and retaining nut. (There is only one adjusting screw with a nut anywhere in that general region.) The video shows the motion of righty-tighty lefty-loosey. We didn’t describe the tools other than a wrench and flathead, because we figured anyone who owned a vintage car would be familiar with a)what they were b) how to use them. You use them by utilizing your hands which are at the end of your arms, connected to your torso.

I am delighted or your explanation of the human anatomy, something I was totally unaware of. No need to go any further. I stick to my comment and too bad if you cannot take criticism.@@CollectorCarGuru

Great! I saw your recent videos. Your content is fantastic. But the problem is your channel does not have much engagement. You didn't reach your targeted audience according to your niche. That's why you don't have enough views, likes, comments, or subscribers. Also your video seo score is very poor. I've taken the liberty to prepare a report on your channel, pinpointing areas where improvement is needed. If you're interested, I'd be happy to share it with you. Could we discuss this further on Zoom Meeting?
