Now I'm retired, all-being-well after a 35 year gap I'll be going back to skiing next season. Once I'm through the beginner and lessons phase, and have started the practice and exploring phase when I have my first set of ski's for the 2025 season I'll be trying this run myself.

Hey there! First off, major kudos for reigniting your passion after 35 years - that's truly inspiring! Tignes awaits you with open arms and pristine slopes. Just remember, every great skier was once a beginner, and the mountain is patient. Glide on and make those tracks! 🏔️🎿

@@MemoriesOfSnow Well fast forward a year. Plan A so to speak was A for awful. The holiday started badly after arriving at the hotel which was also a slog to the ski school spot, and then went down hill from then on. Les Deux Alpes was the wrong resort for beginners as I didn't book with Crystal Ski but via Hayes Travel - never again - Crystal Ski only gives it a 3 out of 5 for beginners. I was sold the wrong boots prior, and fell and sort of twisted my left knee second day, so spent most of the remaining 4 days in my room recovering, and I just wanted to go home. Now on plan B, startling Feb 29 taken lessons and then lots of practice at 'Chill Factore', changed my boots from Nordica Doberman GP 110 which were crippling me, to Salomon SP/Pro 110 which are like night and day, and I'm going to Passo Tenale with lessons in January booked via Crystal Ski directly - branch at CF - which scores a 5 out of 5 for beginners at Crystal Ski, and then Arc 2000 with lessons in March, also practicing my balance on skia dot com blocks, and am now on the red ones, so Tignes will have to wait. Plan C is renting skis for this season, and buying my own in April, done some demoing at the Northern Snow trade show at CF, and will have sort of demoed the rentals maybe Rossi RTX or equivalent at the resorts, for buying it's a three way toss Rossi F30, Volkl Peregrine XT and maybe Dynastar 263/363 Xpress, with the K2 Disruption 76 as the wild card, all in 155 - 156cm as I'm just about 168cm in height.
