thanks for this tutorial i went and bought fs4 and i have a problem with the glide slope i catch it but it does not line me up with the runway at london standstead also i cant auto land i activate autopilot 2 and it says cat 3 instead

Hi, great video could you do a tutorial on setting up hardware such as TCA flight stick and Saitek rudder pedals. I have both but can not calibrate the brakes ? any help would be appreciated

My TCA stuff worked out of the box - I reassigned a few things for my own familiarity, but didn’t do anything special. Are you using the pedals as brakes? I think in Aerofly it expects a button not an axis - I use the trigger on the stick

@@TiJayFLY I have tried both, can you tell me how to set the trigger on the stick the rudder works fine when I twist the stick, if that makes any sense lol

@@johnlloyd5184 assign key for “apply brakes” to button “trigger” IIRC, i can’t remember exactly but I will look when I get the chance. If you drop by the discord I can send a screenshot

i dont think this simulator worth my money i didnt injoy as much i injoy fsx or p3d there no add ons scenery eighter sucks or really amazing one of does not so good sim switches have no spunds camera suksss wors ever

Some developers who develop flight simulators wants the sim to work on almost every device so that’s why there isn’t a lot of add ons and that’s why the graphics aren’t always going to be great as other sims

Love you tijay, helped me through the game. But when i make a flight plan, why does it always put my T/C (Top of cruise) or T/D close to the runway or some random places. I dont know when to descend because of this. Pls help

I’d recommend to always choose a SID, STAR, arrival runway and approach when you plan the flight in the map. The more “complete” a plan is, the better the airplane can calculate this stuff

@@Frixolix could be many things. It’s usually an issue with your procedures. Very easy to miss something small. Make a checklist

If you don't make an ILS approach in your flight plan it won't work.

Great tutorial. however when im in the navigation tab trying to create a route, i can only select from american airports, searching also only shows american airports.

The sim only comes with US scenery by default. Download the free Europe DLC from the steam page

Use the Aerofly world map shown at 00:10 for planning. Very similar to MSFS. Sim controls are also almost identical. Airplane controls are of course the same.

I just notice there is no visual explantion. This is an advanced tutorial. E.g. you say "parking break off", where is it? Would be great if you have a more basic and visual video, counting on veterans like you to help us with our baby steps :-)
