I never understood how they thought it worked. Teachers can tell that shit. One time a girl tried to do that and I actually kinda forced her to participate on the group project with me and do her part of the work and she did alright. But when the grading the teacher right away was like "well you clearly did nothing and he did everything so he gets a B and you get a D". In this case it was a dick move because she actually tried. But still like....the teachers know...

I had a kid in my class who was super popular and regularly bullied other kids and copied work, with a mom who would angrily demand to speak to the principal whenever he got in trouble for it. Well, kid is supposed to write a poem that uses a few different types of figurative language for my class and when I went to grade I was sitting in my classroom at like 5 pm surrounded by stacks of papers to grade, exhausted and frustrated with my job and I read “his” poem and just laughed and laughed and laughed. I gave him an F. Predictably, the mom comes storming in with her son in tow to confront me the next day and I just say “well it wasn’t your son’s work. So it’s an F.” The mom says “How can you prove he copied it and not the other student?” “Well” I said, ‘Can [student] explain what he meant by “diverged”?’ Student could not. Mom says “Well you’re putting him on the spot, That’s not fair!” “Maybe he’d like to read it to you himself.” I said, handing over “his” poem. The look on the mom’s face when the student begins reading “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood…”

Same! There was nothing like that in my school either. People just stuck to their friend groups, occasionally some people would go between and hang out with a different group for a while. People had different friends in each class, and for lunch and for after school. And there were the louder people, the people that were more known and the groups that went and got drunk and high. But it wasn't anything cliquey, it was just different people enjoying different things and having different friends. No one cared about popularity or anything. I can't believe Lin Manuel Miranda is our president !! Yipee

I've heard worse ideas. Man is ambitious, open to learning, a workaholic, always open to learning from others, and a coalition builder. But President of the United States is a bit presumptuous at this point. Let him be president of something like Actors Equity or the board of the Tonys first, then a borough position. You know, work his way through the ranks, build as much of a resume in government as he did on Broadway. Remember, before Hamilton he did "Bring It On: The Musical."

The whole freedom of speech discussion online doesn't exist due to the fact that any platform you sign up for, there is terms and conditions that is required to be met. If you cannot match that requirement that they want you to, guess what? It's a private website. They're allowed to ban you. There's no such thing as freedom of speech online. Unless you open up your own website with your own terms and conditions.

My man? With that mouth on her she'd be in for one NASTY surprise. Different time and place; different norms. The only high profile women who talked like that then were Grace Metalious, Joan Rivers, and Moms Mabley. All of whom were essentially pariahs at the time.

She wouldn’t last a day, being a loud mouthed, bikini wearing single mom to a biracial child. Btw I obviously don’t have a problem with any of those things but her target audience does

It’s painful watching people film themselves pretending to cook (like the cuhdey bored guy) to appeal to their audience. I’m not the best cook myself but I know that chicken doesn’t need that much garlic salt and olive oil

She’s so stuck on stereotypes that I thought only existed in old 80s films. I was a cheerleader and also in the chess club and yes my interests are sci fi. What does she have against normal people 😂

She refers to men as men and women as girls. That says a lot all on it's own. As an adult, I don't hang out with any "girls" but I know a lot of women.... But I don't live in high school in my thirties

I remember back in high school girls like these would call me a loser one time because i chuckeled at a joke i heard. I was a loser because i laughed. These kind of girls are nuts.
