Average male great white shark is 11 to 13 feet and females are 15 to 16 feet but this male is very rare.

Captain Chip, I live in Lexington SC. I want to come down and go on a charter. I'm not interested in me per say fishing but, I want to see the Whites. I am so intrigued by them. I've watched many videos and so amazed learning from you how many come to our coast yearly. Is this possible for me to do and if so, how much is the cost?

Chip Michalove I didn’t mean allowed I meant as in they would be to powerful to gain any line... I fish for carp and catfish and just can’t imagine being able to control a great white and I’m 6”5” and 270lbs lol

@@englishfam9675 Yeah, i hear you. They're brutally powerful. Lost my first 3 i ever hooked cause i couldn't figure out a way to stop them. Nobody in the world is catching adult whites on rod and reel, so everything was trial and error.

Isn't illegal to fish for white sharks to be caught by rod and reel regardless if they are going to be tagged? I would like to know what the regs are?

Yeah, theyre protected. I teamed up with some white shark scientists and now have a permit to target and handle.
