I've now taken my Tikka t1x 22lr out to the range and put 3 different types of ammunition through it. I'm very impressed with the Quality and accuracy of this Rifle..I've added a Mountain Tactical cheek riser kit to it
@natebonebusta2 жыл бұрын
I've yet to hunt with a CZ this year due to the reliability, accuracy, and weather resistant Tikka T1x. It may just be the ideal squirrel rig. At least Tikka offers both barrel lengths threaded, where CZ only gives you a 20" synthetic model, or a 24" American model. I just don't get it, and therefore Tikka wins.

Mine is in a after market stock and is a .17hmr, accurate but from my CZ 457's in .22lr are shooting circles around that from what I'm seeing. Looking forward to more videos

I was interested in the CZ 457 varmint and the Tikka t1x mtr 22lr I ended up putting money on a Tikka t1x with a 20 inch barrel and a 2x7x33 Leupold Scope So far I think it will work for my needs Now I just need to get to my local gun store and pick it up.

I love my T1x, more than I ever loved any of my CZ's. Mine is a 20" and likes everything pretty well. It loves norma tac22 and cci standards. I do press some to make hollow points but it is hard on squirrels way on out there.

Like watching you and Theoutdoorbound i really like the big video that shows your success in the field that year but would love if you show maybe some shorter videos of just one day you went out and had some luck showing more of y’all walking walking around up to the tree and more interaction with us viewers for video purposes keep up all the great work 👍 really like watching your vids

Its good to see you again. Hate that I missed the live the other day. I love Tikka's but I'm going to hold off on the 22. I'm going to work on a vintage High Standard rifle that I hope to customize this fall. Love that ending. Can't wait to some falling out of the trees.

I’ve been busy fishing. As season speeds our way I’m gonna be getting my rigs back in shape. I’ll have the Tikka out there this year. It’ll get the job done with Eley subs in the green box. I hope you show some of that vintage rig on your channel. I had to have a little fun at the end of the video. Good to hear from you Preacher.

I finally found some subsonic. It's the 40gr cci segmented hp. Hope my rifle liked it. Squirrel season opens toward the end of the month here in TN.

@@natebonebusta I just hope it groups good. 50 yards is my max. In that range my old marlin. Glenfield model 20 is a tac driver. My 10-22 hits like lightning, never in same spot twice. I'm thinking next year I'll have me a cz. Some of the shots I seen you make kinda sold me on cz.

I love the feel and look of the T1X. I was looking hard at one when I found a 457 synthetic for under 4 bones so I went that way. So far out of my 4 457's and my 455 scout, the synthetic is the most picky for ammo. Seems all rimfires are are a gamble.
@natebonebusta3 жыл бұрын
Hard to beat that price! You do take a gamble, but most of the time if you find the right ammo it’ll come around. However, that “right” ammo could be high dollar! Thanks for stopping by to comment.

Very nice rifle. Might I suggest a KRG BRAVO CHASSIS to complete the kit.
@longtrangm1a3 жыл бұрын
I'd say the grouping changes from one group of eley to the second had alot to do with the barrel being fouled with the cci. Then as the barrel fouled in with eley it opened up then started closing up again as it fouled in with the eley. Just my guess based on what I've seen with mine.

Been a good season thus far. Hunted more this season so far than last and much less filming. Should be a fertile patch of woods based on mast crop so you should knock them out.

Have you tried some Aguila super extra in 40 grain or 38 grain ammo? My Tikka t1x 22lr with a 20 inch barrel loves them ❤️
@natebonebusta Жыл бұрын
Have not. My Tikka loves Eley subs and Eley edge. I believe it shoots better with more rounds down the tube. I haven’t taken a squirrel all year with anything but the T1x.

After reading multiple good reviews I went out and bought one. Shot more a dozen different ammo through it and best grouping were from CCI Stingers and Fiocchi HV and those were not all that impressive. Should of gotten a CZ American 😔

I kinda feel the same way, although mine isn’t that picky. I was hoping this rifle would prefer cheaper options. We may both be in the 457 market eventually…

That is EXACTLY how I want to set mine up for coon hunting. I like that cerakote. Did you do that or have someone do it???
@natebonebusta2 жыл бұрын
The barrel and action I had cerakoted. The stock is a rattle can job. I redid it after this video, after squirrel season ended. It looks way better now. I only had one layer of base in this video I now have four layers plus the camo is now in three colors. Pics on Instagram if you are interested.

Just got my 16" last week. Loved CCI SV. 3 shots to zero scope, next seven cloverleafed @40 yrds. That was with pillow rest and no rear support but shoulder. Wonder if your can is having an effect.

Could be the case. It’s come back around since the video. Both edge and Eley subs are tight groups at 50y.

That 16 inch Tikka is a hard find for sure.How are you liking it now? I saw your comment on the grouping getting better now with the Eley.

When they are available they go for a silly price. I hope that gets better. I’ve been hunting it with Eley subsonic. My longest shot of the last couple outings was 74 yards. It’s exactly what I wanted in a bad weather squirrel rig.

Nate have you thought about a Bagara 22 LR? I’m seriously thinking about getting one
@natebonebusta2 жыл бұрын
Had one of the bmr’s. While light weight, threaded, and pretty accurate, it had a rough bolt close when loading, a heavy trigger, and most of my standard velocity rounds broke the sound barrier. I sent mine down the road. I sure wish the t1x’s were more available, because they are truly impressive.

Thinking about getting a can. Do you know of one that can handle both rimfire and .223?

I don’t have any suggestions because I went the route of a 300 can and a rimfire can. If you choose to do a 223 all in one make sure you can service it.
