Pro tip put the recoil lug on the action before putting the stock on goes together way easier

Within the last day I called Vortex to ask them the appropriate ring height for a scope with a 50mm objective and the mountain tactical 20 MOA rail, I was getting ready to order a set of their tactical rings. The Vortex folks told me "do not use the vortex tactical rings" on a T3X 300 Win Mag, use either the pro series rings or the matched rings. Sounded like the tactical rings are meant red dot scopes and the likes, not a large precision scope on a magnum rifle, softer material I think too. Just tossing that out there since I saw the Vortex Tactical rings being used. Oh, and they recommended the medium height 1" ring.

Wow you reached way back into the archives for this video 😀 The Tactical rings are terrible. Definitely go with the precision matched rings. They didn't exist at the time of this video, but are on all of our rifles now.

Got the same 270 s m broñwing for about9 years but it was stolen pricks.but i am biĺling a tikka did not put the stock in it for you it is a nice gun when i get done wiht ot lot chaeper ot will be better than the high end gun but that mean nothing .how good are am i good with my tikka tx3 lize.tjank you love your 270shout mag

I just bought one all my gun have body's stock 3of thim I love body stock my high in gun there stock are good bedding thim. But I will not buy a high in gun know more. Because the low in gun you can make thim better with a body stock piller and bedding there better if you do thim right. Part are cheap and they will teach you how to work on your gun s. Go body

Wow you dug up an old video, haha! All torque settings are for dry screws. If you try to use Loc-Tite, you'll over torque them and cause problems. No manufacturers uses Loc-Tite on critical screws.

yes they have two actions screws and one small screw about 4" from the top of the stock.

Our two favorite stocks are German Gun Stock and McMillan. Both add weight but keep the rifle system balanced
