In Germany, these parking spots are closer to exists and are being watched by surveillance, so Woman feel saver in parking houses and don't have to fear for people trying to rob them or do something worse. Yes, they are also bigger, so it is easier to get in quickly if the situation ever comes up.

That is not the reason tho, they are NOT for women only (even though they are called like that) they are for Parents (primarily women, because they do the shopping as the housewife while the Men are at work) with children, especially if they are very young (little babies), so they can be in and out quickly.

@@mammels.4313 Yeah i know what you mean, but those can be used by men as well. They were intended to be for safety measures some years ago, but that isn't the main reason anymore really. instead they are just there and called that way and still offer those same features and everything. But the owner of the parking space can set the rules however he likes as long the traffic laws aren't violated by it. So if the owner allows it, anyone can park there without restrictions. But mostly it is just used for women or any kind of parent with children. rarely that men can simply park there without a child or a women with him.

The video at 40:21 was actually shot at my elementary school. The kid in it was my childhood best friend. Bottle flips are definitely not as popular anymore but it means a lot to see this pop up on one of my favourite channels as I don’t get to see him or contact him often anymore. To people curious about the parking spaces for women being larger, it's for safety. It can be easier for them to be cornered and assaulted in regular spaces, because they wouldn't have any room to escape. The larger spaces lessen the chances of that happening. The spaces are also helpful for, like, pregnant women who need more room to move in and out of their vehicles.
