@Halo2glitchlover224 жыл бұрын
Amanda Teoh It’s not a lie though, that’s literally the truth. Quit crying about it and just practice. People like you piss me off. You think artists have some magical abilities when it’s actually studying and practice that makes us good. Ffs. I’m tired of you people acting like we don’t have to put in effort for our artwork when we actually put a lot of effort to make it nice. Sorry if this is harsh, but it’s the truth. I’ve been scoffed at because I said I struggled with a painting. Just because my painting looks better than yours doesn’t mean I didn’t struggle. I actually put the effort, concentration, and hours into it, which comes with some struggles. I didn’t use magic to paint or draw.

Just keep at or watch tutorials on how to perfect the things u can't do. U can't learn without failing first.
@ChibiChidorii4 жыл бұрын
There's many ways to fix that but they always imply practicing. I have two ways of sketching: -go to the simplest shapes you can when sketching and add details as you go. I usually draw eyes as diamonds, and then do rough shapes for the nose and the cheeks and then just a line for the mouth and a circle for the chin. Then I give them more shape as I'm shading. -the second way that I use the most is to instead of sketching the prominent lines of the face is to draw the shapes of shadows and highlights first. If you think about it, there's no actual lines in the face, but volume with shadows. So i draw triangle-like blobs for the sides of the nose, the contour of the eyes and brows, the cheeks, the bottom of the nose, the upper lip and the sides of the jaw. Then when coloring i start adding the softer shadows and highlights and that a actually gives you a lot of shape and good spacing of the face. You can do this with objects too, look up references and draw rough shapes of their shadows and highlights. This works so well with me that i sketch straight out with markers sometimes because the ones I have are really soft and flowey. Also artists are never satisfied with their results so if you get too frustrated with the sketch maybe just stop sketching and go on and try to cover it up when lining/coloring/etc.

@tama34424 жыл бұрын
I had that same problem the key to fix is just draw whatever lips, eyes etc but separately and draw the area you have problems with the most. Mine was eyes so I literally drew (still do) all the time and different types. When I draw a face I don’t start with the eyes like most but I draw a circle and draw the base of a nose on the bottom of the circle. Next eyes then lips. It’s much easier this way.

He says in another video that he does the first sketch with Crayolas, which are harder (I think I would end up breaking my while hand!), then he switched to Mungyo, which are creamier. I have gotten Mungyo on sale, I think from Jerry's Artarama online, for an extremely affordable price. That's one reason I like these videos. The materials are really not out of reach for most people.

For the eyeball, practice drawing/coloring round objects so you know where the highlights and shadows go. Same with the face bones, particularly the ones that go around the eyes (the brow ridges and cheekbones). It just looks unplanned because he's already done enough practicing to know. So it's really like pre-planned. ❤️

Some small facts with Oil pastels, Colour blend easier when they're similar, notice all the yellows to blues, or Yellows to reds or Blues to pinky-purple! If the colours contrast each other they don't blend as well but if used effectively you can get some cool looks!

There's two options I know of (of course I've only done pastels maybe 3 times outside of school) but there's a spray you can buy that's specifically for oil pastels that way it lessens the chance of smudging and getting dirty, it will need heavy coats since the oil pastels never really dry, second option is covering the page with tracing paper and make sure it doesn't move by having it the same size as the paper. I'd use the second option only if you have no spray since I haven't seen many people use it.
