So my Brother ended up getting a blood infection that caused Endocarditis when he had his wisdom teeth removed by an actual oral surgeon, that resulted in almost 6 months in the hospital and a heart valve replacement at the age of 23..... I'm both enraged that these "techs" would do something that could cause so much harm and worried for the people they're doing this on... Edit: I want to say that the doctor wasn't the problem and this more then likely would have happened anyway, its more of a "look this happened even under optimal conditions, imagine what could happen if the person doing the procedure had no/minmal training and a non sterile environment"

Besties dont get that just because they sign a "waiver" doesn't protect them from being sued. It's literally against the law to practice as a dentist without a license. Dental assistants can't even touch peoples teeth with a drill. Even if they did have a license, they'd be negligent because they're putting resin over decaying teeth. They dont know the integrity of their teeth. 😭 id rather pay $20k for veneers to make sure they're done right by a professional. Plus, veneers are not made out of resin, which im assuming they're using since they have the uv light 😭😭

best thing you can do to prolong the health of your teeth is - try to brush after every meal, try to eat minimum junk food, dont smoke dont drink, dont breathe through your mouth much, make sure your nutrition is complete every single day(calcium and protein are the most important but none of it will matter much if you arent getting ALL the macro and micro nutrients REGULARLY) and finally, if you have a problem like uncontrollable clenching (while awake or asleep) get medical guards for them so you wont literally break your own teeth with prolonged pressure.

There are many weird possibilities for shady people to get a weird diploma to slither into the medical system. Fortunately i know of many countries where they only accept a small certified selection of diplomas, as it should be. Sadly on the other hand, i knew a person who had their own clinic in another country but had to start over with all her studies at my home country. It could be possible though that their clinic didn’t met the same standards as she was a defector of some sort and their country was in a crisis (before the pandemic, I don’t remember their origin).

Especially with Trudeau's giving seniors free or discounted dental services depending on their ages and financial situation (one of the few rare good things he did for us canadians). So i totally get the people being desperate for a good smile, but the people scamming is totally not cool. This is so dangerous. I got cheap dental care, and i ended up having to go to the ER years later because the cheap dentist closed up my tooth with the infection still in it. So i ended up getting a facial stone and doing a massage, and the next day i wokeup with a golf ball sized knot in my jaw, and my lips were so swollen they were ripping. I went to the ER, and when i took down my mask and showed them my face, i got RAN to the back and got an IV started for antibiotics. I ended up needing 6 root canals back to back, and 3 months of the strongest antibiotics available to me. All because i went to the cheapest dentist i could in Seattle. I'm waiting for the Bentist to get a hold of this story. This is terrible. I had a follow up appointment after my wisdom teeth pulled because one of them had a nerve wrapped around the root. The surgeon was worried even being careful he could have damaged a facial nerve during the extraction. Teeth aren't something to play with.

The new background is awesome! Another great video. People need to research these cosmetic procedures before having them done. That way they can be well informed of what exactly it is and all the risks that are involved. Also these so-called veneer techs need to be held accountable for the damage they are doing and not allowed to keep doing the procedures.

And it's so sad that people are so badly failed by the American healthcare system that they not only go to uncertified people to get veneers but can't afford a simple filling and treat their teeth. It's devastating and infuriating.

Okay let’s talk about sepsis… my sister had it last year and I knew nothing about it. It’s an infection in your bloodstream that kills you very fast. The cause of that infection is not necessarily where you feel pain so it’s not immediately obvious what’s going on. If these people are unable to pay for dental care (which is an issue with which I empathize!), i sincerely doubt they will go to the ER if they start feeling physical pain.. so it is unlikely they will catch their sepsis in time. This is VERY serious. Ps my sister is fine. Luckily she went to the hospital and had emergency surgery. ❤

I'm so glad I never got the hype of like. Straight teeth. I watched my sister get braces and thought it was horrific, she almost immediately stopped using her reatiners and never wanted to use veneers bc she despised them. I went "Yea i'd rather have stranger teeth" and yes it might have issues due to the weird. layout of them. But i enjoy them. The idea of chasing that consistent straight white teeth never appealed to me, but if it did, I could imagine myself doing some stupid shit like getting cheap veneers bc my brain goes "eh i'll be the 000.001% that will be just fine and it'll make me look better" (not ever true I do not have good luck), I have NPD, so stupidly enough a lot of my obsessive issues are my physical appearance, I obsess over it, if my outfit isn't my version of 'perfect' i get endlessly upset or uncomfortable, it's gotten better, but bc I never cared much for make up or straight white teeth that's the two things I don't obsess about. (I do like makeup NOW but mostly eyeliner, and I do it in a way where it doesn't need to be perfect bc i like the weird messy look. I rlly dont wear other makeup tho, sometimes i wanna but god. expensive.). But, If a different path in my life happened, that would = me ALSO obsessing over my teeth, I would be willing to do stupidly dangerous things to maintain that "perfection" and hiding the self appointed flaws. While also being a moron and trying to save money. Someone who is not qualified is so so much more dangerous then someone who probably knows what they were doing. (Idk what the pro's and con's are of veneers in general but i assume it is very dependent on person and some rando who isn't a dentist shouldn't be doing that) These kind of ppl always remind me of those tiktok tattoo artists getting called out for doing a shit job for a lot of money. Baffling that people can just do that and think it's 100% fine, even after being called out for it.

THIS IS JUST A PERSONAL OPINION OF MINE so you do what you want hayley, love your video always! 😘 i love your background, but i think its a little too dark. It blends into your dark hair so you dont pop up as much like your other videos with a more kitsch vibe with the lighter wall and posters. I think the glitters and the silver glitter curtain part is a good start though! :D Maybe adding some soft lighting to the back or fairy lights could help?

Waivers need to have the risks written on them. If they don't, they most definitely can be sued for not being told of those risks. Or she actually doesn't know the risks, which is worse.
