As a new fan who just joined at portals, k-12 is my favorite. BUT, I love the new portals era! The people hating on it are acting like they've never gone through a phase before. And I'm not saying melanie is in a phase, idk if the rest of her music will be like portals. But, people need to understand that she's growing! Not just as a artist, but also as a person! A very close friend of mine (we're right on the edge between Millenial and Gen Z, born 1996) didn't want her daughter having any technology until it could be determined that she had, quote "formed a personality unrelated to it" which I think she's actually doing a really good job of. Her parents, so the kids grandparents, got her an iPad anyway and despite the daughter doing very well, the iPad is now a regular point of discussion in her household. As someone who also was a patient in a children's hospital for months "unhealthy" food isn't going to harm you in any way ( if you don't have stomach conditions) and makes a stay at the hospital a little bit more bearable. We don't have Goodwill in the UK We have a series of other thrift stores that we call charity shops and basically they're all run by charities and all of the money goes to the charity. But to me Goodwill looks like some kind of money laundering scam. We have a similar thing over here with American sweet shops. Basically they'll sell sweets (candy) from America, but they will sell them at ridiculously inflated prices and most of the time they'll be bootlegs of the products anyway and even then most of them are out of date The ones in my area also don't have any price tags on the shelves. So if you want to know the price you either have to find an employee and ask them or you just go to the checkout and get surprised because again everything is being sold at a ridiculously inflated price and the shops are open from really early in the morning to really late at night and most of the time I walk past they're completely empty and it's kind of open secret that they are all some kind of money laundering scam or tax scam. And that's what this Goodwill thing looks like to me. They are selling things. No one in their right mind would actually want at ridiculously inflated prices theres no way this isn't some kind of scam.

My local Savers is mostly okay at least when it comes to furniture and home goods. I don't really shop clothes secondhand so I can't report on that front. But, recently I saw two cast iron grill pans priced $20 U.S. One was a generic Chinese import which are generally lower quality than American made pans but still aren't bad by any means. The other was a Lodge. Not even a vintage Lodge. You can buy this pan new for just a few bucks more pretty much wherever cookware is sold. Had these pans been antique Wagners or Griswalds, that would be perfectly reasonable. But not every piece of cast iron is a collector's item.
