This is honestly mind boggling I mean I understand some people not going but to the point where they had to be outside is just crazy. And last time I went trick or treating it was not like this.

The 'Christian Autumn' name feels like their mocking the Christians (which I am one of). Why can't you pick anything else. Saying your a 'Christian girl' feels disrespectful unless you genuinely worship and feel that way. Am I the only one that thinks this.

A lot of families seem to have shifted to trunk or treats and similar activities that are in bulk and at one centralized location. :(

I went on a date with this girl a while ago, and I asked her if she had any hobbies, and her answer was "umm, no, of course not, do you?" And Im like, okay, weird but whatever, so I tell her some of my hobbies (art & literature stuff) and this *insert random profanity here* says "Woman shouldn't have hobbies, I don't think this will work out." And the she leaves. For some context, Im lesbian.

18:23 im from europe where i live this is reltively common in stores, but not like that, its pay like 25c or smth to open the door to get to the stalls, so half the time we can walk in when someone else is coming out, BUT A TIME LIMIT??? WVHAT. Here where i am the doors are like normal doors so someone could stick a peace of cardboard inbetwen and free bathroom for everyone who would go to that one(girls or boys or disable bathroom or some shit), is it pretty shit to od that here? Yeah, is it worse from whereever the video is, no.

Those self driving cars and self service machines are destroying the job market. I'm far from a luddite, but I think there's an extent to which we can develop, and we've crossed the bloody line. Social media was bad enough.

I literally had this same issue, I didn't go this year because my dad said I'm apparently "a little too old" to go trick or treating but this Halloween me and my mom literally had a a whole BAG of candy along with two smaller bags of chocolates, ONE mother came with her son (he's was pretty young, about 3 max) and that was it. Nobody came after that.

This is so sad. I can only imagine how much this would contribute to social anxiety, bc they don’t get to practice saying a greeting “Happy Halloween” “Trick or Treat” to a stranger. How are they suppose to feel comfortable saying “excuse me, can you help me?” if they can’t even say a few words for the Halloween experience. Not to mention, the benefit of getting out of the house and being active, or the fun of getting to dress up, AND now they’re having their awful social skills reinforced, by not engaging in a relatively un-intimidating social interaction that they get to practice multiple times that night.

I’m glad as a Pennsylvanian our tradition is still alive. I’m in a more modest part of our city, and my dad, who normally gets no trick or treaters, ran out of candy and told me he felt bad when other families came up while he was closing up shop.

The only things I had on my iPad was KZbin kids and all the things I could watch was either paw patrol Cocomelon or Ryan’s world and also I had a lot of children’s apps, but most of my time was spent outside or in sports when I was little and I’m a gen alpha I was born like in the first five years of gen alpha so yeah and also I took a reading cause I’m dyslexic

When you buy a bigger bag it tends to later longer in the home so you don't need to go out to buy more everyday and only need to go out 1 week to maybe 1 month in the us depending on how you shop ooooo shocker.

Okay, while yes it is hard to ruin a books spine (depending on the book), that aggressiveness when opening the book hurt. I'm not saying its right to threaten people over it, but I hate it when the spines of my books are creased. I read with the book cracked open so I don't ruin them. Just in case 🙃

It is less of an event than when I was a kid, but it also depends on where you live. Up until about 5 yrs ago where I lived I was like the only one decorating in my whole community, and if I got 1 or 2 TorT's we got lucky; I brought my kids to TorT by my mother's house on the other side of town, and it was like a freaking festival, the streets were packed, the houses were decorated, and just about everyone of every age was in costume (even people w/dogs would have little costumes or hats or something on them). Where I live now, in a new state, it still gets pretty active on the main streets, not so much if you live on small winding streets or culdesacs. Seems you have to really go looking for the hopping neighborhoods if you have kids these days; and if you want your neighborhood to be hopping with trick or treaters, talk to your neighbors and find out who is excited about Halloween & decorating. On a FB community board for my town, people were posting their street/ave/community section to say there would be a lot of decorated houses passing out candy there, and someone mentioned our street. I noticed the trick or treating on my street, we went from getting about 8 people last year to over 15 this year (I lost count, but between 15-20).

I think our neighborhood is cut off from the rest of the world. There is no brain rot, no "iPad kids", no deteriorating literacy rates, nothing. I love our neighbourhood. Our streets were bustling, and there were kids that are way older than me doing this trick or treating business. I love the holidays, because there is a house there that has been nominated several times for "best Christmas decorations.". There were people having outdoor parties and fires, it was beautiful. I love holidays and fun here!
