Legislation that affords an employee the right to request work from home is both absurd and ineffective in equal measure Most employees would have the right to ask an employer to install a bar at their desk, no one would endure disciplinary for asking. They either need to remove law from books or amend it

Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. I am out of date no doubt and didn't have long commutes etc but through out and looking back on my working life I enjoyed my colleagues very much and wish now I had talked to and listened to the old timers when I started work, so I am glad I didn't have to work at home.

Funny how people can WFH when it suits the employer, like during the pandemic, but when it doesn't suit them it's not productive.

Totally right - if these companies remembered how people suddenly dumped themselves into their kitchens to work really hard for them - or they'd have all shut down - it's a kick in the teeth to those who who did that to be now told they are unproductive and need to be bums on seats to see what's happening :(

@@seamust1181 it wasn't ideal for employees either. My point is that it was encouraged and useful when it suited them. If you can effectively do your job from home then why not let them avoid a long commute.

Work place commission hearing should be held in camera in the very same way as family courts because it disincentives employees seeking redress for fear of having a public mark against their name, win or lose, they become unemployable.

she could just resign from TikTok but in any event she probably has an X on her back because of her resistance to her employer. My question would be, while she is waiting a decision does she have to go into the office and not WFH?
