I like that you said that as long as the products are not the same finished products. You got to get the supplies from somewhere right to make your handmade goods. Just like you need paper, wool , plastic , stockcards etc to make a finished product.

I was curious. Went to Temu. There are tons of Etsy products on there and you know darn well the quality is crap. I promise you the shirts are made from low quality fabric. They take the listing photos too! I research my stuff a lot and I know these designs lol

Yep and it's killing legitimate sellers. In my niche, top selling products on the first page are copyrighted materials that should not be on Etsy. Which is another HUGGGGE issue! - Just rows and rows of them. It's slower than normal.... this is only making things worse for those of us busting our butts. So fed up . I got so fed up I have contacted companies over this....... and still NOTHING has been done. It's so abundant, they probably don't know where to start. People are such jerks doing this type of thing!

I see that happening! Temu stole the actual video & pictures of an item that I'm selling on Etsy. They don't care at all. Temu didn't bother to hide the thievery. 😢😢😢

I saw some crocheted items for sale on Etsy and I wondered how she got them so perfect and then I found them for sale in bulk on Temu

Yep, I stopped looking on Temu, aliexpress and even Google. All my designs are on there and I’ve even found them on Etsy by new sellers. It just gives me panic attacks. I just spend extra time adding a ton of watermarks and making sure my designs are distorted or has hair or folds on top of it so they can’t use It. The ppl doing that won’t stop. To be honest, those Chinese sites are taking over. Not only in the POD market. I have a non pod shop that has tanked because China sellers even on Etsy are undercutting me by so much I can’t compete. Not to mention shipping from Canada is crazy high and from China to Canada or to the US is super cheap. I’m not sure how long we can sustain our small businesses unless our countries put restrictions on those sites or buying from China, to me that’s the only way we can start getting more sales and at the very least, remain in business.

Focus in our business and staying in our lanes isn't an option anymore while selling on Etsy, we must be aware if we were stolen and which photos to be able to react before Etsy finds out and shuts our shops down. I'm on my final warning for being stolen, so...

YT video popped up in my algorithm the other day of a 20 something year old showing others how to order from Temu & sell it on Etsy. The comments were full of people saying they’re going to start selling in Etsy doing this. 🤦🏻‍♀️
