That pregnancy weight-gain one annoys the crap out of me. I gained NINETY-FIVE pounds with my first pregnancy (I started at a BMI of 30) and everyone kept telling me it was fine and normal and not to worry. They had me convinced it would all just melt away after the baby came. 20lbs came off in the first couple weeks postpartum and then I was left with the cold, hard fact that I had 75lbs of fat I now had to work my butt off to lose. It would have been SO much easier to manage my weight while pregnant rather than trying to lose all the weight after the fact

@@tay2944 it's super hard because sometimes you are so effing hungry. First pregnancy I put on 20 lbs overall. Current pregnancy I'd put on nearly 40 by halfway. My doctor was like oh no. @@tay2944 It was a combination of things for me. But it boiled down to me eating more than I needed and making poor food choices. I was lucky. In the 70's in Australia we had access to great info. I had a Phys Ed teacher we could ask any question of. Between her and my Mum, I learned all I needed. Boys can be at a loss when it comes to females if they don't get good advice. Some try to learn through porn - never advisable and some parents are still too uncomfortable - not helpful. My son always sounded like Cartman from SP when I overshared (his words) but Muuuuuuuum, I don't need to/already know about......... Better TMI than not enough.

Re: Kroger employees wearing masks improperly. I can confirm this where I live (Tennessee). Went to a Kroger today. Half of the employees had their masks around their neck or only covering their mouth but not their nose. I also understand how uncomfortable and anxiety provoking they are. I have to fight off a panic attack every time I wear mine out in public just because it feels like I'm not getting enough air, which simulates hyperventilation, which provokes the anxiety response. But what's even more anxiety provoking to me than wearing a hot, tight, uncomfortable mask is the thought of a second wave. Please, please, people, wear masks correctly. I get how much it sucks, but getting Covid-19 or even worse, spreading it to people you know and love is much more anxiety provoking to me.

In Germany like.. In my area.. Every supermarket and drugstore employee they wear the masks around there neck.. If they are even wearing one Atleast all the customers are properly wearing one But don't they think? One call from someone to the police or something and they are FUCKED... My mother went to a hospital and all the people working there where wearing masks etc. But as soon as there shifts where over they walked around the hospital chitchattering NO MASKS.. Normal close... Just hanging out inside the HOSPITAL without masks... Like.. What? I understand that it truly sucks wearing masks for so long but rules are rules Masks with a little filter on the side or on the front are also an option.. With those you are capable of breathing almost like normal
@retrospect8210
@retrospect8210 4 жыл бұрын
Well in Germany, atm you only have to wear the mask when shopping or on public transportation as well as in medical areas. As a cashier, I wear my mask throughout my whole shift but I have to say, it is veeeery difficult to do so. After two hours, you get very tired from breathing back in the used oxygen and after four it feels almost as if you are about to collapse. I sometimes work 6h shifts without any break . You get strong headaches and it only gets better after a longer break without a mask. Most of us also do not have access to any special masks and the focus lies on reusability. The good masks are mostly reserved for the medical staff who work even longer shifts up to 12h (a surgeon for example). Still not cool that most do not wear the mask where you live but please some empathy for the workers who try their best and need a short break from it to keep on working. Stay safe everybody :)

@@Kayla-eq9dd There are multiple different medical conditions which can cause excessive bleeding. In my case, personally, I have very severely abnormal bleeding and doctors just don't give me any name for it because they don't have any answer for what's causing it. There isn't always a name for the cause even though it's obviously still a medical issue. In my case, I have extremely severe bleeding (140 g - 150 g of blood loss per day) and a period that literally never ends for years straight if I'm not on birth control meds to stop it, but doctors will just refer to it as an irregular period... Like it's comparable to any other irregular period, when it's not. I had blood transfusions as a teen because of it going untreated since my mom doesn't believe in birth control... It's horrendous. A 'heavy / irregular menstrual cycle' is the only universal language that I've heard it described as.

As a nurse I think that fast food one with the clean/dirty side is actually useful. Most people know they need to wash their hands by now. If you wash your hands to go eat and then grab your drink container to take a sip and then grab some fries to eat, you could unknowingly contaminate your food even after washing your hands. Just because the CDC doesn't say anything about it, doesn't mean it's not sound advice.

Scented tampons also creep me the hell out. Do people really like shoving an air freshener in their vagina? I feel like that's just asking for 10 varieties of infections.

I will be so sad If you ever end a video right after you do the outro. I love how you keep going for a while after you say your entire outro, you're funny as shit. "I wanna watch fun lady juice stuff....that came out...well...meh.." SAME. Ily Swayze you have taught me so much about vegan nutrition and health.

The whole dairy thing kinda made me laugh as well, because as a child I was very prone to yeast infections, and at one point when I got one when we were on holiday I’m a really rural area, and our doctor advised using yogurt to ease symptoms until we could get a hold of the medicine 😅

It frustrates me to no end that there’s people that don’t understand the concept that just because you’re a doctor, it doesn’t mean that you are right about everything. I say this because I have a rare autoimmune disease. And growing up I had countless doctors lie to me and give me false confidence in what they were doing, and they did permanent damage in my body from their lies. I also had doctors lie to me and argue with me about very small things. Like when I was a teenager I was having all these symptoms and I told my doctor that I think I’m anemic. And he said in this very smug voice, “You don’t know that. You’re not a doctor.” And then they ran my bloodwork. And at the very end of my next appointment he kinda mumbled under his breath, “Oh by the way it turns out that you were correct and you actually have severe iron deficient anemia.” Like to the point where they gave me prescription iron pills because I needed such a large dosage.

At first during the pandemic I went to TJ wearing a mask and was the only one doing so. It was a surgical mask I had from years ago. The woman checking me out told me I should have saved it for medical professionals and that people on the front lines needed it more than me. It made me feel so terrible and embarrassed. I think about that incident often. She knew nothing about me yet felt it was okay to comment on me protecting myself and her. Ugh.
