True story many years ago I went on a date with a stunningly beautiful woman. We hit it off really well until the appetizers arrived. She complained about being "Jewed." Since I grew up in a Jewish community, and my step family is Jewish, I was blown away by this statement. I politely asked her to explain her statement, and she blew it off. I excused myself. I went to the waitress and overpaid for the dinner, tip, and any incidental she might add. On my way back to my apartment, I ran into a neighbour. He was an admitted white supremist. (I didn't like him) He asked me where my hot date was. I told him. I found out that he met her at the restaurant and they married 2 years later. I dodged a bullet.

I am an old fart. When I was growing up my dad told me when dining with a date never order something more expensive that they are ordering. It is just a polite way to not blow your date’s budget. My mom and dad always showed such amazing respect for one another. They both felt they hit the jackpot with their spouse. They were the best.

The bar one... where I went to college it was illegal to drink in a bar underage but not illegal to be in a bar underage. The cops realized that raiding bars near the college was an easy way to rack up a ticket count. So basically, the police would show up and ticket everyone, but all you had to do was make sure not to insist on a sobriety/breathalyzer test. If they did not give you the test at the time of the ticket, you could take a hearing and argue there was no evidence of you breaking the law - the charge would almost always be dropped.

Agree do not at any point take a field sobriety test, ask for breathalyzer and then fight the fact that portable breathalyzer are illegal and the only one they can use in a court of law in the one you take at the station

CLEARING THE BAR: Can’t speak for the entire country (USA), but where I live (admittedly this happened over 25 years ago) when the ATF came in to test a bar, EVERYONE had to go outside & rechecked ID’s as everyone came back inside. Both times I happened to be in the bar they checked, the owner announced ( before everyone was ushered outside) that anyone who would be so gracious as to come back inside (adding PLEASE PLEASE) would revive a free drink of their choice, & he thanked us all for our continued patronage.; Classy guy.

Maybe, but if she was that concerned, why not get out of the car, go over and talk to the woman, and say, "I see you are crying, are you okay?" Talking about rich people not liking to spend their money, reminded me, of a family friend. She got talking to this elderly man at the bus stop and in her words ‘his clothes had most definitely seen better days & he looked as if, he could do with a decent meal’ Fast forward & any clothes, my husband didn’t want, she took round to the gentleman. She’d quite often take him a home cooked meal etc etc. When he died, there was an article in the local newspaper, that included the fact he’d left almost 5 million pounds 💞

Back when I could afford to go out to eat, I used to carry miniature bottles of our favorite hot sauce and my own homemade seasoning I made by dehydrating jalapeno peppers and grinding it into powder. I used to buy it in stores where I used to live, but it's very easy to make, it's called Texas Gunpowder. It happens bc your tear glands swell once you stop crying, and any leftover tears cause the space around your eyes to swell. Smth along those lines - a cool compress after crying helps reduce the swelling.

Puffy eyes after crying are not an allergic reaction. It's just that when we cry a lot afterwards, the body tries to reabsorb the liquid, and it's retained in that area, so it appears puffy.

In a college town in the US, a bar being full of underage kids is very normal. We have cops that go in just to ticket and check, but I knew like 5 people that could make you a real looking fake ID. It pays to be friends with people in the arts departments of your college. It's the time between 18 and 21 that my friends racked those us. I worked a donut shop on the same street with 7 bars. I read that one about the cheese before. It made me laugh because I'm kind of cheap like that. $3 for a slice of cheese. I would pass on it as well!!! But I don't think bad about people who are willing to pay it. In fact, I don't think about it at all!! The only way I could see that being an issue, is if she wanted to add the cheese and he told her no. Then that's a problem. I have family that lives out in the country like that and if they saw someone they didn't know pulled over to the side of the road they would stop and make sure they were okay. Didn't need the car help or a tire changed or something and they wouldn't leave until they knew you were okay. So I don't think she's the lazy to do it anything wrong. She's just checking on her.

The Vinyl spray situation is something my mom would do. My mother has used my Olaplex conditioner as if it were hand soap! Olaplex is expensive! 🤦‍♀️😭She also opens bags of chips upside down. Like how do you not notice the label/packaging!

So we did a family vacation to Florida....in the summer to go to Universal Studios, and Disneyworld. Our first mistake was Florida in July. Our kids argued and fought the whole time unless we were on a ride. We were all hot, cranky, and suffering and for some strange reason we all want to go again LOL. A quick "Are you okay? Can I get someone to help?" would be sufficient. You don't need to sit there and stare. I'm not a mother, but I am a nurturer. I have stepped in when I see someone in a bad place multiple times. But if you approach tactfully and they say no, insisting after that is pointless and rude. Sitting there staring at someone is neither helpful or tactful.

The story about the bar and all the underage drinkers. Lol. They all left WITHOUT their cards. So bartender could settle everyone up and wait for the cops to come get all those ID’s. Bars where I live will ask if you wanna keep a tab open for the night, if you say yes, they keep your card and settle at the end of the night, or when you want to leave. I would think at least half, if not more, had an open tab. Lmao.

It was just announced yesterday that the president of the largest grocery chain in Canada (Loblaws/No Frills) got a $1.2M raise. 😭 I feel so bitter having to pay higher prices for staples, like milk, bread, eggs to fund his raise! At least I can afford it, but not everyone can.

I think the worst thing about the first video... is that it was so actually something we expected from someone, that we have gotten to the point thinking "yeah, that seems like something someone would actually do" we never thought about how real something was. I started to think something was up when I saw the dude, eating the supposed same burger, making a response, like did the guy happen to find it immediately after leaving, taking the burger to go in his hand, only to post it soon after? But even then I was so ready to believe she was that shallow over a piece of cheese, I hushed the warning alarms.
