Anytime I see someone look at anyone making food without gloves I have to break it to them that 80-90% of the fast food places they eat at the workers dont wear gloves. We just wash our hands before and after touching food lmaoo (Source: Ive worked at a variety of fast food places and this is extremely common. Just because someone isnt wearing gloves doesnt mean their hands are disgusting and you should worry about getting sick /lh)

Fast food always made us wear gloves even though it was often detrimental to efficiency or the task itself (i.e. washing dishes), both of the kitchens I worked in we'd grab a glove if we really needed one but had a sink near the line so everyone just washed a ton and kept fingernails short/clean. The amount of time and money saved by not using gloves is insane, if a glove gets dirty you have to toss it rewash and grab a new one then youre struggling to get the glove on wasting even more time
