@@spencerorton That's wrong. Singers use hand gestures to help them imagine the note being reached. Imagery helps vocalization a lot since it's not the same muscle contraction to our biceps. So, when singers use a high register of mixed voice, they usually touch around their temple area, representing the "head mix" or pointing towards the sky as if they're aligning stars, creating a very forward/masking sound resonating from the face. In this case, I think Tilian's being a little nervous and sometimes the awkwardness makes the person fiddle with their hands or touch the neck. He's known to be a anxious guy.
