I was thinking about going to see this film, but I changed my mind. Emmitt never received justice. Nobody involved in his kidnapping/torture/death ever was punished. This story is so heartbreaking. 😢

I saw this film. Trust me, it's hard to watch, but it is important to see it and to understand the story of Emmett Till and what Mamie did to try and fight for justice for what happened to her son.

YES! This, and also the very end where his mom walks into the empty room...and sees the angelic glow of her son Emmett smiling back at her (like the happy boy he was). That part killed me.

OMG, those little boys on the porch shooting blanks at Mamie. In an interview she admitted that she was terrified and as the little boys were shooting blanks, the fathers were getting a big kick out of it. SMH

I saw it today it’s really good experience for the part we’re bo was getting hit by a belt or something and got shot in the head I said I was gonna have nightmares after this

That doesn’t happen in the movie… they just show the shed and let you hear noises of them yelling and he is screaming but that’s it….

I'm wondering that too. Maybe it's either a dummy or that they put on actor Jaclyn Hill himself some pretty heavy make-up for that beaten-up, decaying look.

The body was a dummy cast out of silicone or some such material. It actually looks much more realistic on film than it did in real life.

You can't blame Carolyn Bryant for anything she didn't do anything wrong if anything Emmett should have been charged with sexual assault probably would have been better if he went down there when he got older he would have known the rules better
