Thanks for the reaction, super interesting as always, I think it's good what you're thinking. Mein Herz brennt is definitely one of my favorite Rammstein songs. so scary but also so sad. what's always super exciting about rammstein is that the videos, the music allows for a certain interpretation, but if you just take the lyrics for yourself, it might come out a little differently you can think by my heart burns, it's a nightmare, a horror story. But I think it could be something different. I think it may be about the father's love, Till, for his children and the need to protect them. when he sings, my heart burns, maybe that's what he means: I hurt when you suffer. My Heart Is bleeding. With his heart he has the power to blackmail eyelids, means that he, like all parents who love their children, so all😊that he with his love, manages to put the children to sleep as best he can. if he has to, he sings to her all night. until a light appears in the firmament. so until tomorrow gray, until the sun shines again and the nightmares are gone. There is nothing worse for parents than when their own children are afraid to go to bed at night because they know that nightmares will come. and everyone can remember what it was like to be afraid of nightmares as a child.. do you know the piano version of mein Herz brennt? if not, be sure to check it out. it's heartbreaking and Till's interpretation is incredible. I believe that Till is actually good . I believe Till also suffered abuse and in turn he may have either hurt or killed someone but either out of self defense or desperation and anger built up. I believe he is trying to save the children that are in the orphanage from abuse at the hands of the nurses...my take is that the boy in the beginning who makes that cut ur throat motion is Till when he was living there and he suffered and saw new kids coming and being abused so he vowed to take revenge and save the children whom were there and spare anymore children from that horrific abuse. I also believe that the voice coming from the pillow is Tills voice, a pillow is known as a comfort object Till sings "I sing until the new day comes, a bright glow in the heavens, my heart burns" he is helping them through another night and showing them that there's still hope.

It´s a wrong translation. He sings "Firmament" and it´s translatet as "heaven". As far as I know "Firmament" is in english and german the same word... Isn´t it?

hi, i'm usually not commenting, but today i decided otherwise. nice reaction, i love that diving into the lyrics and video itself. Till is lyrically portaying a Sandmann here, fictional character who puts children to sleep, very famous here in Germany. you understood the main meaning of the song correctly. the guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe once said in an interview (Mein Herz Brennt, offcial making of) that putting children's tears into monsterous night creatures is in his opinion how nightmares work, they are feeding on them. as i said, nice reaction, next one i highly recommend Weißes Fleisch. please react to it with english translation, Till again decided to open really ineresting and difficult topic. thanks, have a nice day:) greetings from Germany🇩🇪

This song represents the oppression of mens emotions since childhood (because society sais its not how a boy should behave). Its shown as a childrens nightmare full of fear. So I would say, that the women with the gun tries to push him back while he is talking about his emotions and she tries to keep him away from the classroom full of children, so they dont see a man talking about his feelings. That would describe "My heard burns" as an emotional explosion in his heard
