Leon's a straight up womanizer and I'm saying that from a guy's perspective. Every time he meets someone, which happens to be a girl, they become attracted to him. That's why he's my favorite character. Although sometimes I wish Leon would just fall in love with one of these chicks in the franchise. Nearly half of them I'm sure looking to date. Part of Leon's appeal is that his feelings for Ada are unwavering though. If he crushed on multiple chicks he wouldn't be who he is. Even when he flirts with other girls he's not gross about it... That purity is part of his character. I can understand why some people crap on him and Ada though... their type of relationship is not exactly typical.

Originally, Steve Burnside is supposed to be Leon himself. But they decided not to kill him off and thus Steve was brought in. To be honest, I'm fortunate they made that choice. Otherwise, we would never get Leon's "famous" portrayal in Resident Evil 4 onwards.
